Rumor from Tony Pauline

What do you think about taking the offensive weapons really means? 1. They don’t trust Gallup/Tolbert. 2. They hated Shultz. 3.The Cowboys just want to add more weapons for Dak.
WR-they don't trust Gallup/Tolbert
TE-don't think either is a Te1. Heard they actually like Peder more over Ferguson.

I hope they’re trying to get out of MGs contract as quickly as possible and continue to try and develop Tolbert.

Tolbert was a solid prospect just might need a little more time and opportunity.

For them to do this something must be off on Gallup and or Tolbert……they must look at his as if they have one receiver….

That, or the pendulum has swung the other way after trying to go the lean route last year hoping Gallup would be 100% and Washington could revive his career here.
I think they are looking hard in the draft for depth and after they pay Lamb they will need more young cheap talent at WR/it takes usually a year for most rookie WR to develop. They saw how after Gallup never quite got to 100% and Washington got injured how bad the depth at WR hampered the offense. Maybe Tolbert will step up but it never hurts to draft another.

The problem is they triggered Gallup’s out for more money under the cap. I think they have to keep him through 2024.

He kept bringing him up as a possible X receiver that they like. Said Johnston by name. Not anyone else.
He could be saying Johnson, but actually meaning Mingo. I have heard from a few insiders that the Cowboys actually lack a true X receiver, Lamb is more of a Y, and Cooks is a Z. Heard the Giants love Johnson so you can breath now.

If they want him gone they can make it happen…just might have to eat some of it which is fine with me.

I get drafting one but they used 8 of their 30 visits on receivers….guys who will be first or second round picks. Hell most of them won’t even be there when they pick in the second round. Didn’t think receiver was that pressing to pick in the first round.

This year is better than last year for WRs. I have my preferences but I think All these guys would be upgrades.

Hyatt
Wilson
Burks
Williams

Flowers
Downs
Njigba
Olave
London

Johnston
Tillman
Addison
Scott
Dell

Mims
Watson
Mingo
Perry
Dotson

and if you factor in the strong TE class it's a great year to upgrade your pass catchers.

Moore
Pickens
Tolbert

Right and the last time it happened we reached for a dude named Taco…..
Truly embarrassing that the organization was so clueless about drafting defensive linemen that they effectively threw up their hands and allowed it to be decided by a coach that the game had clearly passed by.

So when they finally did allocate any worthwhile draft assets to the defensive line, it led us to Taco Charlton and Trysten Hill.

Definitely no surprise they are looking at WRs hard this draft.

Thinking day 2 is when they pull the trigger on one.
I will throw this out there....I wouldn't be shocked if Hyatt is the pick @ 1/26....then we trade Gallup to the Cardinals for Hopkins.

1. Lamb
2. Hopkins
3. Hyatt
4. Cook

Not a bad mix....
