Well, this trade does make a ton of sense when you think about it.

Jerry has a new stadium he needs to fill. What better player to spark Texan's interest than Vince Young.

We need a franchise qb, this guy is supposed to be that.

Something big is going to happen this offseason. I wouldn't put this one past jerry.

I could see something like this IF it was to move up and then get the pick and shop it before the draft and try to parlay it into something even better.

Payton as headcoach isn't going to have alot of trading partners come the next draft he can feel comfortable with. So this doesn't sound like any stretch to me.

I think who is ultimately the target for Dallas in any scenario is wide open, though, if such a thing happened or anything close.

We'll see.

I'd bet anything that this is a completely bogus rumor.

Look at who they've been looking at during the Senior Bowl, not one QB, and all players in the Mid 1st round Draft status.

In other words, baloney.

I also seriously doubt an intern or anyone for that fact heard anything like this.
If any discussions about this type of trade went on, believe me, this happened behind closed doors tighter that Fort Knox, with ONLY BP & JJ ,and probably Stephen Jones too.

Things like this doesn't leak out until a few days before the draft when they absolutely need to make a phone call to the team they are dealing with.

If Jerry Jones was serious about going for it "the Super Bowl" next season, this trading up for a QB is not how to do it. If he's talking about building for the Future, then trading up for a QB is the perfect move.

Having said that, the only 2 I would trade up for would be Hawk or Ngata. You would only have to move up to 4 to get Hawk, and 7ish to get Ngata.

Our 18th, Ellis and Glover- that is all we have that is available. Frankly I would keep Ellis and GLover myself. But just for the sake of talk, that is all we could give up without hurting the team more then we gain. Unless NO needs D linemen badly that would not be enough. And I do not think they do.
that and lets face it- Ellis and GLover probably only have 2-3 more good years left - if you are building for the future then the AInt's would not take this trade.

The whispers around Dallas indicate that Jerry Jones is trying to work a trade in order for the Dallas Cowboys to acquire the second pick in the NFL Draft from the New Orleans Saints. This has apparently leaked to the local Dallas media, and has been reported on the local Dallas news/sports TV and Radio shows.

On top of that, I also heard them talking about it on Sports Radio 610 today.

So, if you think that Vince Young playing for the Tennessee Titans would be bad, how about Vince Young playing for the Dallas Cowboys?

This sounds exactly like the kind of thing that the Dallas Cowboys would make a strong push for...
And sadly, the Texans will probably lose a lot of fans if this happens

Can you imagine the cost of jumping up 16 spots?

It'd cost us multiple day one picks and a couple of good players.

I don't think it'd be worth it at all.

Honestly, I don't think we NEED a QB just yet.

Next year is the year to get one if neither Henson or Romo make a push.

Erik Ainge (I think he'll make a big jump)

If we were seriously making a move (and a don't believe we are) it would be for Leinart not Young.
