Rumor? Has anyone else heard about this?

If we were seriously making a move (and a don't believe we are) it would be for Leinart not Young.
The same point I was trying to make without coming out and saying it.

No way do we get Vince Young. If we move up it is for Matt L., not Young. Just not a fan of the run and gun QB in Dallas.

Apparently you didn't see the College challenge today, where Young was brilliant.

I know all of us have bad memories of Michael Vick and all, and we want to put them all in the same category, but Young is different. Just wait and see....

Young is a much better quarterback than Michael Vick coming out of college. I think Vince Young will be very comparable to Donovan McNabb with better accurracy. Young can make all the throws and can still move around a pick up extra yards. I think Vince Young will be a better quarterback than Eli Manning. I am sure that I'm in the minority, but I would trade Ellis, our first this year and our first next year to get Young.

I see this as a straight up trade of Tony Romo for NO's first.

I'd rather pass a very large kidney stone.

Parcells is trying to win a super bowl within the next two years.

He isn't going to waste the picks on a quarterback who isn't going to help him compete until probably year 3 or 4.

Parcells drafted both Drew Bledsoe and Chad Pennington (who he didn't coach). He isn't an idiot either. At least I'd like to think he isn't.

He is going to focus on fixing our offense this year. I guarantee it. Our defense only needs to be patched up. We get a free safety, another explosive linebacker, and maybe a future defensive tackle to replace Ferguson. And we're good.

On offense we need to essentially start over with the oline, and get new receivers as well.

Ouch!!! I passed one the size of the end of a ball point pen. That was the worst pain I ever had. So if it was passing a big one and trading picks. Well I say trade them.:D

To trade up to #2 from #18

Would cost us out first, our second and likely next years one per trade charts....

Yes it would, but at what point to we get a real quarterback? Does anyone have faith in Romo or Henson? Anyone who says that BP trusts Romo is contradicting themselves. BP would rather pick someone who could contribute now rather than later. People say BP wants to win now, but so far we have not gotten it done with him period. I know we had some injuries this year, but the sooner we our team will have a retired quarterback, recievers, and Oline. I would draft Young now and have him sit behind Bledsoe until he is ready. I don't think Romo is the answer despite what Parcells is saying. He just doesn't want to waste a pick on a quarterback.

it has got to be a rumor, but if we ever traded up that high for ANYONE and the player was a bust, someone would have to be fired

Until we have a reason not to have faith, then the answer is yes. So far no one has seen enough from either to say one way or another. So to just blindly say you don't have any faith in those guys doesn't make sense to me. At this point, they may or may not have a future in this league.

One is a undrafted free agent, the other is a former baseball player. I'd rather take my chances on either quarterback that won a national championship with their team. Troy Aikman was one of the best quarterbacks we ever had. He was a 1st overall pick. I know quarterbacks have busted when picked that high, but the success is right is higher with them than undrafted quarterbacks and third round picks.

The problem is that if Young or Leinhart are huge busts, then fans will be happy that we didn't trade up. If Leinhart is the next Troy Aikman and Vince Young becomes the next Steve Young, we will wish we made that pick. You never know what your gonna get. Maybe Leinart will slip down to us ala Rogers and we can take him with the 18th pick. Stranger stuff has happened.

Well Young is not a real QB his game does not translate to the NFL very well; This is a stupid rumor and a bad one at that

This has apparently leaked to the local Dallas media

not trying to be a d1ck or anything, but when has anything been leaked to the media since Parcells has been in Dallas?

sorry, but when a rumor has something being reportedly leaked from Valley Ranch, under BIll's tight reigns, I tend not to believe it
