Rumor has it that Detroit is salary cap challenged. If true, what would Jerry be willing to give up to get him? I know many don't like him due to his past antics, but I would love to see him in Dallas. Playing for Maranelli? He'd beast for us. Our pass rush and run defense would instantly improve. He's young and he goes hard every play.

If we want to turn our defense around, I'd like to see Jerry be bold and go after him. He'd anchor our front 7 for years to come.

At 27 he's not really THAT young. Not sure about the 7 year anchor part. EDIT: nevermind, misread your post :)

How can Dallas afford him if the Lions can't? Also last time those teams made a trade it didn't go so well for one....

I'd give up our first in a heartbeat for a monster like Suh to come in. Would bring some much need 'nasty' to our team too.

We need some bullies on that side of the ball.

I agree we need some bullies on that side of the ball, but this guy is not the kind of bully that the Cowboys need. He would be a disrespectful distraction.

We really just need to start drafting more hungry, mean-streak guys. Easier said than done obviously. But anyway with how strapped we are against the cap right now, I can't see this happening.

I like crazy in my linemen but not when it comes with disrespecting the authority of the coaching staff.

I'd have no interest.

I think he'd respect Rod. I haven't read anywhere that players didn't respect Rod.

This. Enough of the finesse defense. We need an attitude. Like Seattle.

Rather try and sign Melton and/or Houston then acquire that headcase

If they keep Suh and have to cut guys like Nate Burlesson and Louis Delmas I'd be interested in both those guys.

Melton is my Plan B. He's coming off an ACL injury and an arrest. These two factors might drive his price down. Other factors include him playing for Rod in Chicago and I think he is from Texas.
