They have no choice but to try to trade him...he's got a cap hit of like $23 million this year lol

His salary I think is 12, which Dallas wouldn't be able to take on anyways.

We need to dig ourself out of this mess with first round picks at low cost, along with veterans that carry higher salary cap numbers. Combining those two resources into just one player will not fix things.

The only time I ever read his name is when he cheap shots somebody & the league steps in.

That being said I never watch the Lions.

I read reports that he shows up late for team meetings and pretty much does what he wants. Supposedly a couple of his teammates outed him for it after the season.

Thanks. I wasnt aware of those reports.

Jerry's thinking he would fit right in with the country club atmosphere at VR. :D

I'd love to have a guy like him, but he costs a lot relative to the rest of the league at the DT position and isn't even the best DT in the league. I'd have to pass.

I wonder if he will play cheap for us as he is always flirting with suspensions any way.

Overthecap.com has his cap number listed at 22 million next season. Am I reading that wrong?

Why not? The Albert Haynesworth deal worked out for everybody involved.

How can Dallas afford him if the Lions can't? Also last time those teams made a trade it didn't go so well for one....

The Lions were the lucky winners of the 1st overall pick one year, followed by the 2nd the next year during the last two seasons under the old rookie scale.

They had to give out $40M guaranteed in back to back seasons and have been pushing it around ever since.

Don't see how we can afford his salary...........................and he would be suspended by week 5 if he had a star on the side of his helmet.

Rumor has it that Detroit is salary cap challenged. If true, what would Jerry be willing to give up to get him? I know many don't like him due to his past antics, but I would love to see him in Dallas. Playing for Maranelli? He'd beast for us. Our pass rush and run defense would instantly improve. He's young and he goes hard every play.

If we want to turn our defense around, I'd like to see Jerry be bold and go after him. He'd anchor our front 7 for years to come.

1st step in the matter is to cut ties with Ware immediately.

Yes. you seem to remember that being 1st overall was actually unlucky during those years. Pick #7 was better than #1 with the salary cap implications. I think the NFL has it right now. Imagine having to pay Sam Bradford big bucks vs getting a great deal on Cam and Andrew

Suh would be too expensive. But I would like to have him. RKG or not. The guy can play, and that's what we need. Not RKGs. Is Seattle full of RKGs? I don't think so, they have attitude on that defense. Seattle is the antithesis of RKG.

Would love to have Suh at Dallas but no way this will happen with our cap numbers.

He's the best in the game. He stepped on a guy and it was a cheap shot...emotions got the best of him. Guys like Lambert and Butkus did things like that, nobody mentioned it.

He is an absolute terror and I would take him in a second if we could find a way to pay him, I doubt we can. As far as him being on time to the meetings, maybe there can be some incentives or penalties for that, I'm not sure on those contract rules 100%.

I believe he stays in Detroit.

Ndamukong Suh a Cowboy? Imagine that.
