Pastabelly from BSPN confirmed that Oakland is willing to deal ASO

ESPN's Len Pasquarelli confirms that the Raiders would be willing to part with Nnamdi Asomugha in a trade for Donovan McNabb.
It would come down to Philadelphia's willingness to take on Asomugha's contract, though. "Aso" is due $16 million in 2010 with an option year in 2011 available for either $16.9 million or the franchise tag number for quarterbacks, whichever amount is greater. If the '11 option is not exercised, the deal prohibits Asomugha's team from franchise tagging him. Mar. 26 - 1:32 pm et

schefter has also been talking about ASO to philly on his twitter account

Oh wow lol nm I wouldn't do it either, that contract is straight up insane.

Al Davis has gone off the deep end.

I'm shocked this has any kind of legs, I thought it was BS when I first heard it.

I can't see the cheap *** Eagles taking on his 17 mil salary.

would love it to happen and see Austin school him twice a season, but very doubtful it'll happen so I'll have to settle for seeing Austin school Samuels twice a season.

Wont happen because Chunky won't go to the Raiders (already ruled them out) and Chunky has a say in where he ends up.

Sorry Eagles fans :lmao:

your right he doesn't. But he has a monkey wrench to toss in and break any trade down...I think he would retire before getting traded to the Raiders and that would really screw up the Eagles.

Although he cannot veto a trade per se - there isn't a no-trade clause in his contract - he can refuse to negotiate a contract extension, and most teams wouldn't trade away draft picks or players unless they had McNabb locked up long-term.

He only has one more year left on his contract, so no one would give much for him without a re-done deal.

Oh wait... Richard Seymour...

:(

this is true..last I heard, Al Davis, being the wise guy that he is..is not concerned about whether Mcnabb signs an extension or not lol..

Sources tell Yahoo's Charles Robinson that the Raiders are "in front right now" in the pursuit of Donovan McNabb.
NFL Network's Jason La Canfora also believes that Oakland is the favorite to land McNabb. "And I'm told they will NOT require an extension to get a deal done," Robinson adds. The Raiders were swindled for a future first-round pick by New England in last summer's Richard Seymour deal, with Seymour in a contract year. McNabb is also in the last year of his deal. We'd say Al Davis wouldn't make the same mistake again...but these are the Raiders. Mar. 26 - 4:02 pm et

Big difference is that Seymour is still in the middle of his career. There is nothing stopping Chunky from calling it a career if he gets traded to the Raiders. But you are correct, we are talking about Al Davis so I guess it is possible (I still doubt the Eagles want to pay Nnmadi Asomugha's salary)

Asomugha might want to fight this potential trade, because Miles Austin owned him in Dallas.

Taking a look at it, Nnamdi Asomugha's contract for this upcoming year is ridiculous.
