Makes 0 sense since RG III is barely worth a bucket of golf balls...

I'm glad that RGIII got paid, because he was otherwise screwed when the Redstinks drafted him. Totally mismanaged and coached.

It is 3.2M guaranteed for this year which would go to the new team if he is traded or claimed on waivers. If he it cut and not claimed on waives then the Skins would owe him he 3.2M. A team could sign him after he cleared waivers for whatever contract he would agree to sign.

The big issue is that the Skins picked up his 2016 option which is guaranteed for injury and it is 16M. Any team getting him in a trade or on waivers would inherit the option; although, I think he could agree to decline the option.

If im the Broncos I wait for RG3 to get cut and I stash him until Manning retires.

He is perfect for their system.

I don't know how good CM is but he can't even win the backup job in Seattle. I wouldn't mind bringing him in for cheap but he'd be the #3 RB and would need to work his way up from there.

He did have his best year in that offense.

All those zones runs with Naked playaction bootlegs attached to it is what he is meant to do.. As well as play vertical.

Washington is trying to fit a square peg in a round hole and everyone who was waiting for the chance to kill RG3 now has all kinds of ammo to work with.

Jay Gruden killed his development and confidence imo.

That guy we saw on Turkey day a few years ago is gone thanks to him. I applaud you Jay Gruden.

I always wanted Romo to play in that offense with Shanny or Kubiak. Romo would have been great with the roll outs, boot legs, fakes, etc. Oh well.

At lease we have the zone blocking scheme now!

Tell me about it.. Took forever for the light bulb to go off in Jasons head for that one.

By the looks of it we may actually see some quick passes designed to get the ball in Dez and Beasleys hands this year instead of running Dez 25 yards downfield every play.

What's it going to be then, eh?

How was he mismanaged in Washington other than the injury in the playoffs? They did everything they could to run a simple one read offense that made it simple enough conceptually for Griffin to handle. That is just a real fact.

Then in his second year, he tells Shanahan he wants to be a dropback passer and he has yet to understand the work that goes into being an NFL QB. In other words, he thinks he is better than he is and has not shown he is willing to pay the price.

I'm almost certain he can waive it, but he has little reason to. Only reason would be to ensure he doesn't get claimed by some team with a ton of cap space that thinks he may be worth the risk, like Bears who have 42 million next year, however that would be a long shot.

I just can't think of any reason he would actually waive it. If some team is crazy enough to risk picking him up with it, I imagine he'd be happy to go there. I wouldn't put it past him to fake an injury. At this point, I can't see him getting more than 3-5m/yr anywhere he goes. I wouldn't have any interest if he did clear waivers. The guy is a locker room cancer.

would rather have Rawls honestly.. but Seattle probably doesn't risk putting him on the PS

I could see us having interest in RG3. But not in a trade. We've been so cap cautious that it makes no sense to take on such a horrible contract. We'll wait to see if he gets cut and then go from there.

I agree, but let's say Chicago picked him up, it *may* be a situation he does not want to be in and it does not mean they can't just release him before the season ends once they got an extended look. But I just can't imagine it.
