I don't know how good CM is but he can't even win the backup job in Seattle. I wouldn't mind bringing him in for cheap but he'd be the #3 RB and would need to work his way up from there.
I agree, but let's say Chicago picked him up, it *may* be a situation he does not want to be in and it does not mean they can't just release him before the season ends once they got an extended look. But I just can't imagine it.
CM is a good runner and a huge upgrade over Dunbar but he has fumbling problems and pass protection issues too.
Tell me about it.. Took forever for the light bulb to go off in Jasons head for that one.
By the looks of it we may actually see some quick passes designed to get the ball in Dez and Beasleys hands this year instead of running Dez 25 yards downfield every play.
Ball control and pass protection are two essential elements for any RB we'd consider bringing in. Who cares how he runs the ball if he can't pickup a blitz or hold onto it?
Especially a 3rd RB, who more than likely is going to be pressed into action at some point this season.
If I was a GM, particularly the Cowboys GM, I would be terrified he would have an "injury" somewhere along the way similar to Jay Rat. If, and I think its a big if, he waives that option some team probably would give them a late rd pick for him. I doubt that would be here though.
I think its all moot though. Once he's healthy enough to pass an exit physical I bet he's cut immediately.
Take it for what it's worth. But a host here on the radio just said Steven Jones has talked to Daniel Snyder about a late round draft pick for RG3. Said that at 4:15 John Clayton will be on, and he's going to "ask The Professor if there is any truth to that?" They've been talking a lot about Christian Michael tweeting about wanting to go to Dallas. Said that if he does he will be starter by mid season LOL. Said the Only reason he's in dog house here is because PC says he needs to learn faster and CM took offense to that.
How was he mismanaged in Washington other than the injury in the playoffs? They did everything they could to run a simple one read offense that made it simple enough conceptually for Griffin to handle. That is just a real fact.
Then in his second year, he tells Shanahan he wants to be a dropback passer and he has yet to understand the work that goes into being an NFL QB. In other words, he thinks he is better than he is and has not shown he is willing to pay the price.
Hogwash, Robert had/has skills and ended up at odds with Shanny (who is an egomaniacal nutjob). Parcells would have handled him differently,,, Garrett too
Parcells would have been interesting. Calling him "the player" would have irked Griffin
I think Griffin is a lot smarter than "the player", which isn't really saying that much actually.
Maybe it just took a while to get the personnel to run it?
RG3 would get 1800 yards behind this line
