Drew Bledsoe will never play another down in the NFL.

He had plenty of calls inquiring and he told his agent not to even call him.

Does Dallas get some compensation? He's technically still under contract right? I'd gladly take that 1st rounder ATL.......

McFadden....ahem

I am suprised Parcells would coach again, especially with a team so down and out. He didn't have the energy a year ago,,,,,,

BIG STORY IF TRUE

I'd be surprised too, because this is about being the Falcons GM, not HC.

he has already said no to atlanta in 1990, I dont know why he would want to go there now.

it is probably the worst sports city in america.

First two big decisions for Tuna

Coach and qb.....

And he may be faced with dealing with Vick if he's out in time for 2009 season......

Perfect hire for Blanks -

I saw in a Mike Silver article on Yahoo that some player (can't remember who) was stumping for Mo Carthon for that job... It would all fit together well.

Never mind that he was a huge flop as Cleveland's OC.

Either him, or maybe Parcells could hire Todd Haley. :laugh2:

Tuna loves challenges and rebuilding a franchise. Thats what he does. He has no downside here -

Mo Carthon

first name that I thought of. You can rule out college coaches.

How about Pete Carroll? Tuna convinces him he will be a big part of all personell decisions but just go out there and coach. We can get a ring. Strange bedfellows on paper but if united - that would be an electric upgrade for Atlanta.

there is a downside, but not as the vp of football operations.

Blank tried to sign gibbs and basically had him signed until spurrier split, literally while gibbs was having dinner with blank, he got a call from snyder while eating with blank!!

but parcells has said no to atlanta before and the last time he was going to be coach and gm. Maybe he likes blank though.

but man, who would want to coach a team in that city...

so far carthon has lost three jobs including his job with parcells here in Dallas.

Why is carthon a shoe in?? I am lost on that. You can make a case that pepper johnson is a better coach than carthon so why wouldnt he hire him away from new england?

besides this sounds like blank is asking parcells to be vp, not that parcells said he wants to be.

Blank likes the big names.

that's what they trying

Bledsoe had a great quote on Romo versus Brady. Said both very similar in hard working, well liked and leader traits.

But said, Brady is a pocket passer that moves more within pocket to just buy time to throw. On Romo, he said Romo just does crazy things back there, but it works for him. In the interview he also alluded to Romo coming a long way in his development.

I also remember a telling Bledsoe quote back in 2006 as he was beating Romo out with a good camp. He said to the effect if he let Romo see the field he'd never get his job back. Gotta respect Drew as a stand up guy -- badabing!
