Somebody hold me. I really can't take this. Even with Jerry's "we are taking it day-to-day with RG" in the back of my mind, always, I thought RG was out of the woods.

This is horrible news.

To the folks speculating that he may have came clean to the team, rather than the league piss testing him, I hope you are right. But even if that is the case, as another poster stated, all of these occurrences with RG are just deflating.

Just deflating.

Fish states, that if Gregory had failed a drug test in August, he would've been suspended immediately. The league wouldn't have waited this long to punish him for a failed drug test. Fish speculates that if must be something regarding the many requirements that he has to abide by, and not a failed test. Fish said he's going to be on the team bus in a few hours, and is going to look Gregory in the eyes and ask him point blank what happened. Stayed tuned to the Fan...

Randy Gregory suffers from Bi-polar depression which is a serious medical condition that he will battle the rest of his life. Thinking he has turned a corner and is about to become a ten year, ten sack a year guy is a fan pipe dream. I want RG to be healthy. He’s in a battle much more important than playing for the Cowboys.

You know, there are drugs you can take for that, and if he's truly been diagnosed I don't see why they wouldn't go that route instead of punishment.

Circus, clown show. Can’t get to game 1 without a side show. Very typical of the Jones era. But like Jerry says, any publicity is good publicity.

Let me make it clear - I feel very badly for Randy Gregory the person. Mental illness and/or addiction are terrible, terrible things to go through.

right now, mara and goodell are having their weekly sleep-over, this time at Mara's house (it was a short drive on thursday night from Philly to NY for goodell) in their feety-pajamas deciding when to enact the suspension:

Mara: "You push the button, do it"
Goodell: "no, you do it" (giggles)
They wrestle while laughing profusely, trying to be the one to get to press the suspension button
Mara's Wife Denise: "Don't make me come up there again you two!"
(she just hears "shhh, shh....." and all goes quiet)

This is sickening to happen on game day but it's so vague that I hope it's not a straight out suspension for a failed test and is just missing some requirements of his program.

If the rumors of the NFL trying to work more with these types of situations are true he could still keep playing.

While prescription medications can be an effective treatment for people with Bipolar disorder. They are unfortunately, not a panacea. They require regular monitoring and usually adjustments from a psychiatrist.

It can also take years for a psychiatrist to find the proper medications and dosing for each individual and the outcomes vary widely from person to person.

This is getting ridiculous.

He either got failed a piss test or didn't.

This is exactly why I didn’t think it was a slam dunk for him to make the team. The roster spot is too valuable to waste on a player you can’t trust. Gregory played very well and it became obvious he would make the team but it appears he will always be an issue just waiting to happen. This is very confusing because I agree if it was a failed test, he would have been suspended. Did he miss a test when he went awol. That is supposed to treated as a failed test so I doubt it but what does relapse mean? Initially it sure sounds like a failed test but I guess it could refer to failing to meet some other obligation.

At this point I just wouldn’t be surprised, if they had something from August, I’m sure he would be suspended

Thx my brother. Don't get why some people get butthurt when you point out the weaknesses of our front office. I hate the league tests for this stuff in the first place but considering they do and Gregory's history is it too much to ask to have a solid contingency plan for him? It reminds me how they've handled Sean Lee for a lot of his career. He'd always get hurt but they'd never plan for it in the off-season.
