Beasley is super important to this passing game.

I'd trade him for a high end impact defensive player but we won't get the value we need for him.

Tyus Bowser + Chris Wormley + Za'Darius Smith

There is that "potential" thing again.

Based on what? It certainly can't be how he has been used as a Cowboy.

Based on his college production. I'm not saying he will be better but come on, we didn't spend a 4th rounder on him just to do jet sweeps lol.

Offense would tank without the threat of Beasley. Witten plays off the Bease and vise versa. I'd trade Switzer first.

I have got to hear this.

Beasley is too important of a piece to our passing game and also fits one of Dak's strengths, the ability to throw underneath. He was the 5th most effective WR in the *league* last year.

We don't know what we have in Switzer. Hell, we don't know if he can stay healthy (Beasley has yet to miss a game). And considering their small stature, health plays a role in their respective value as pivot route receivers tend to get injured. Already Switzer has missed the entire preseason due to a hamstring issue.

Mosley is a really good player and we need a MIKE. But, he's coming from a 3-4 and would be going to a 4-3. And as always...defensive players have historically been more than twice as likely to get injured than offensive players. We could have a productive Beasley for another 5 years while a MIKE may be a tough player to keep their productiveness for another 5 years...even if Mosley is 25 years old.

Meanwhile, I would stick with Hitchens and Jaylon for this year and see what progression is made as well as what player(s) we can pick up in the offseason. The team isn't good enough to make the Super Bowl even with Mosley. And I don't think it would even be good enough to make the Super Bowl with Mosley *and* Beasley. We still have massive issues at RDE and SS. And if EE serves the suspension we're likely done for anyway...unless we can pass our way around his loss of production.

The change of scheme probably bothers me the most and a WR that is as efficient as Beasley is doesn't grow on trees. And I think we would be wasting Mosley's talent on Rod Marinelli's scheme.

So I take it that you are one of the "never sign any decent FAs/trade for a guy" group, that we can fix all our holes through the draft, right?

Nah just not into paying this guy 8 mill next year. We can draft a guy at that point. Plus we still have Jayron who should be heatheir and have more experience. Then another FA class will roll in next year. That 8 mill can bw spent on two decent signings or possibly a stud player. Or be used to resign someone in house.
