it would be hard for me to give a 3rd rounder, no way for two of them.
Sounds like a BS story. Bucs are idiots if they turned down either offer.
Two third rounders sounds a little steep. I am thinking more a 3 and a 5.
They see Glrnnon as s much better prospect and an upgrade. They took Dak because Glennon may never be available, so Dak is just an insurance policy. The team tried to obtain several QBs and it looks like Dak was way down the list of options.
Why draft Prescott when your attempting to trade for Glennon..
False. There wasn't a single player in the draft or FA that Dallas met with or worked out more than Dak Prescott. Not one. Dak was part of the plan all along as long as he fell to the 4th.
you mean after we tried to get Lynch, and Cook. right?
If Lynch or Cook fell right we would have taken either. The fact remains that the Cowboys spent more time with Prescott than any other prospect FA or otherwise. He was solidly scouted to entertain a variety of scenarios. You don't spend that much time with a prospect unless you have a realistic scenario in which you have a chance to draft him. To think otherwise is either blatant stupidity or wilful ignorance.
With that being said, If Dallas had a chance at Lynch they would have drafted him (they tried, and rightfully so. He's a higher rated prospect). They would have taken Wentz if he was there, too @ #4. That doesn't mean that you don't scout and have a backup plan for Elliott because you have your heart set on Wentz. It's not rocket surgery.

i wasn't disputing that we spent a lot of time scouting him, but it was obvious after the attempts to trade up for others... he was further down the totem pole for us.
