The Cowboys are one of four teams that have inquired on moving up to the top spot of the draft. The other three teams are thePhiladelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers and the New York Jets, who are the dark horse.

FWIW...A few other good tidbits in here but I am not overly familiar with the site.

Not surprised at all, in fact I would be surprised if they had not inquired about #1 overall. That said, IF this info is to be believed then you could infer that their options are:

1. Sit tight at #4 and hope either Ramsey or Wentz is there
2. Trade up, probably for Wentz
3. Trade down slightly (#7 so SF can jump up to get Goff) if neither Ramsey or Wentz are there and take Elliott or Buckner
4. Take Elliott or Buckner at #4
5. Trade down to #15 and draft best available from the mid-first round guys they have shown interest in (Shaq Lawson, Paxton Lynch, etc.)

Which means they will probably take Myles Jack....lol.

So the guy on this website has seen the Cowboys board? Or one of the scouts or execs handed him a copy?

When you read that most teams don't have their boards even set this all sort of sounds like fluff to get you to click on an article.

If I were the Tennessee GM, I'd more than be willing to move that pick. The value is just so huge there and they already ahead QB.

My guess is that Dallas has inquired about possible draft-day moves with all teams in the 1st round.
There's not much time, so you really have at least have an idea of who might be open to a move.

Yes, the Cowboys have not put up their board and start the process according to Broaddus on April 11 formally speaking.

Certainly they like certain players but the appeals to their board at this point is pure BS.

Word is that Philly REALLY wants Wentz.

Dallas either needs to trade to No. 1 to get the QB they want, or trade back, pick up picks, and let QBs push players to them.

We actually make the most sense for the Titans. We take Wentz...Cleveland take Goff. Titans get either Ramsey or Tunsil, both of whom they love. Of course we would be the least desperate and would be offering less, presumably.

Luckily we have Romo, so the idea of trading up is pretty dumb. Why mortgage the draft for a future QB if you weaken the team that he will be taking over?

I'd trade to 3 and lose one pick. Not trading to 1 and losing multiple.

Agreed about going up to #1. I wouldn't want to move to #3 either.

Less but the deal also includes the number 4 pick. The number 4 pick is way more valuable by itself then anything the Eagles/Rams or Jets have. Maybe the Titans feel they can move back to 4 and still get one of the two players they are targeting with their pick (Tunsil/Ramsey) so it would be more appealing. They traded down and passed on QBs for years and don't even have a winning season to show for it.

A QB means everything. If Romo is really at the end of his career, it could be 10 years before we have this chance again.

What is a strong roster without a starting caliber QB? The LA Rams.

What's funny is that people assume the Cowboys have inquired about moving up to #1 for a QB, but it could just as easily be for Ramsey.

Do people actually think any team in the NFL would use the #1 pick in round 1 for a backup QB for the next 2-3 years? No way...it's laughable.

Just imagine Risen's reaction

Trade up to 1, pick of the litter, and we pick a DB without a set position.

You ask why?

Farve to Rodgers

Peyton to Luck

That's why.

But is there a Rodgers or Luck among the candidates?
