true. he probably would have fumbled it anyway
Starting qb injured in first quarter. Zeke at RB, 2nd qb injured and injured qb had to come back in. Looks like you didn’t watch eagles game.

Dak's win rate is over 95% when:
- Cowboys rush for over 100 yards.
- Opponent rushes for less than 140 yards.

It's close to 100% when they commit 5 or less penalties and meet the above criteria.

They are a run to setup the pass team.

Same concept that won 3 Super Bowls.
Dream on if you think any QB named Dakota "WENTZ 2.0" Prescot is going to get to a SB with any team with a successful run game. Never going to happen with QB who implodes every time he touches a field in a meaningful game. Wentz 2.0 IS the biggest choke artist to ever wear a star on his helmet.

Why is nobody lamenting the failure to run the ball?

Rushing Yards: 76
Without Dak runs: 54

Rushing Avg: 3.4
Avg without Dak runs: 3.0

Pollard Avg: 3.7
1 run for 10 yards
5 runs for 12 yards (2.4 avg)

Zeke: 2.6 avg
Moore was a king of going away from what worked. He also is on record saying he doesnt believe on running outside. So there is that.

Me … I was critical of the OL, OC and HC… for making an effort and run the ball.

I haven't agreed with this franchises choice in RB matters in years. I have zero faith.

About as much faith as them drafting a fat monster DT.

We only ran 15 times. When Pollard got hurt we should have ran Malik. The dump off play Pollard was hurt on, was there all day. It was like an extended hand off.

I do sometimes wonder if people actually watch football or just turn on the Cowboys game to cry until the next one.

Dallas dominated Tampa completely shutting Brady down.
Does Brady suck??
Did the Bengals and Chiefs with arguably the sports 2 best QBs not finish 23-20??

Defenses really feasted in this playoff run.

Because those of us who pay attention knew this was coming. Without Pollard, Zeke is hot garbage and there is no running game. This is also due to their refusal to use Malik Davis.
was malik even suited up for the game?
why did SF go into philly with only 2 qb's ? I found that odd.
phil is using bounty bowl tactics

Dak! Dak! Dak! Dak! Dak lives in some people's minds 24/7!
people like to blame someone , usually one person as it is easier lol.
Dak isnt that good, but cowboys have many problems that keep them from winning in playoffs.
Jones boys just got rid of one of them but others remain.

Pollard was hitting a brick wall also.

5 runs for 12 yards plus 1 run for 10.

Pollard wad 7 for 19 in game 17.
- 9 for 19 in game 16.

The excuse given by coaches after the game 17 debacle with regards to the run game was that the DL was shifting just before the snap...

Thing about Pollard is he will usually pop one at some point. There was no chance of that with Zeke.

I think Dallas produced about exactly what the league average was vs the 49er run D
awful, but not unusual

Their pass D was below average and was the area to exploit

Yes, no complaints about Pollard. My point is that the OLine was not getting it done.
- The Cowboys probably have more talent on their OLine than the 49ers but the 49ers run blocking scheme is far superior.

Moore never did understand setting up run blocks, schemes, misdirection and second level blocks. His run playbook was just hey try and make hole here and RB run there.

Sadly this came from Garret too and it likely lessened the Impact and skill of Zeke over the years too. You do not know what you never learn.

I think this is why we saw both our OL/RB coaches fired. They need to bring in a better run scheme. Them talking to the Carolina QB Coach makes sense, he comes from the college ranks and would know more about the modern schemes teams use.

Yeah it was time for a change. I dont understand all the people upset about KMs departure. Worst case Dak and MM are exposed. Nonetheless I will continue to preach yards of separation. KM sucked at the run game and he rarely schemed anyone open.

Yeah, I'm lumping Philbin in with KM.

I don't really know which coaches were at fault.

What I know:
1. There were problems with route running and the route combinations.
- Kurt Warner and other ex NFL QBs have pointed out the problems in extensive detail.

2. The run game was not consistent.
- They admitted after the game 17 fiasco vs the Commodes that they were not prepared for the last second movement by the Commodes run defenders.
- That's a coaching problem (in my opinion).

doesn't fit the dak hate narratives , He should do it all on his own.

the lack of run game, OL was shaky at best, bad play calls, Diggs missing 2 opportunities to make game changing plays and did not, Schultz 2 mental mistakes on the last real drive, Gallup not running his route correctly ie pushed off his route and undercut for the 1st int. Maher missed XP..

it all adds up to a 7-point loss.

I'm not letting Dak of the hook but also not allowing those other mistakes to not be part of the conversation that seems to be swept under the rug.
