Run Game is Fixed!

We couldn't stop the run WITH Micah. So same defense only millions poorer? Pass.

lmao Dallas is quite possibly 5-1 right now if they had Micah. That's how many close loses and ties he would have been enough to push this team over the edge. Can argue all you want but we all know it's the truth.

And that doesnt mean I think this is a good team, just talking about how close the margins have been. Remember this was supposed to be the easy part of the schedule.
this is so pathetic a post...

In sure Eberflus and Schottenheimer were mad about the deal. The entire defensive system that was out in depends on getting pressure on the quarterback with the front four and very little blitzing.

It requires a great edge rusher. Shocker, we had one until the week of the season opener.

Jerrry, the dummy that he is, doesn’t understand the flex or the zone or anything else for that matter, so just made his stupid decision because he was mad and insecure.

No surprise that the defense sucks.
Exactly why I hated this trade. I get that Parsons rubs people the wrong way, but this entire scheme is predicated on pressure coming from a front four. I knew we were screwed when Jerry and/or Stephen justified the decision because Eberflus was so good at 'scheming pass rush', when in fact he does the exact opposite.

Of course, that doesn't excuse Eberflus from not doing something different now that plan A is going to cost us the entire season.

Micah sucks and got exposed when he played us. If you are sad he is gone then you aren't watching. Micah is not worth 50 million dollars.

And the best part?

I am pretty confident our idiot GM will approach DT exactly like he has for years. You think they'd bring in a quality DT in FA? Nope. I mean Poona Freaking Ford was sitting there in FA, signed a pretty reasonable deal with the Rams and is currently the 6th rated DT by PFF this year.

We didn't even take a look under the hood. Because our owner/GM is a cheap moron.
Jerry created the false dichotomy that the DT position could only be addressed by trading Micah.

Some in our fanbase sucked it up like baby birds.

Who was that poster last week that said “after 2 wins everyone now thinks this is a playoff team” and then gave the emoji with the hand on the forehead. I remember giving him the like on that post. You nailed it my man.

It's quite likely the least biased post here.

4 point loss to eagles, tie with greenbay, 3 point loss the panthers. Micah is elite at his position, not good, not great, ELITE. Top 3 at worst in the league. And he impacts the field beyond just the pass rush. I've seen him chase down so many plays from behind that would have been big plays if not for him. The metrics clearly state that when Micah is on the field the defense performs MUCH better.

7 points is the difference between 2-3-1 and 5-1 right now. The greenbay game Micah was among the highest rated players in the game, you don't think him changing teams for that game results in a win for dallas? Even if we take out the eagles game, the cowboys would still very likely be 4-2 right now. Nobody is scheming for the dline right now, EVERYONE schemes for Micah.

You can plug your ears and pretend Micah wouldn't make such a difference but I'm here to speak some truth, he was the best player on the cowboys since he joined the league. He's the type of talent that teams dream of having on the edge, hence the multiple first round picks and salary investment.

Give credit where credit is due....Jerry fixed this run defense by trading Micah.

Now, that we got Micah off the field, our defense can finally dominate against the run:

Week 1: 158 yards and 3 TDs
Week 2: 84 yards and 1 TD
Week 3: 87 yards (0 TDs)
Week 4: 164 yards and 2 TDs
Week 5: 144 yards (0 TDs)
Week 6: 216 yards (0 TDs)

The sweet thing though is our pass rush hasn't missed a beat since trading Micah too!

Talk about having your cake and eating it too.
our defense never stopped the run with micah.
nothing changed.
this is a decade+ problem.

The cowboys defense was #1 in the league in EPA per play with Micah on the field and #31 without him.

The Cowboys defense this season clearly shows they are pathetically awful and the worst in the league without him.

But yes. Those of us who wanted to keep him are football morons.
Clark has made the worst defense, bad trade
