Running back candidates

You can laugh, but there is absolutely no way they have any interest at all in Ben Tate or Felix Jones. Zero, zilch, nada.

It is really comical that anybody wants to trade a 1st for AP.

Not if you want to win a Super Bowl. He'd be the Vegas odds-on favorite to win the MVP the day it happened.

There's no first-round pick with that impact out there next year.

Peterson behind this line would be a force no team could match.

We are kicking the tires on Ben Tate and Felix Jones.

If we really saw something in our RBs, why would we waste time with these scrubs?

Can any of the anti AP people give a reasonable explanation?

The Cowboys have learned their lesson the past few years when they came out of training camp with injuries that caused them to scramble for replacements.

In 2012 they ended up trading for a Center after their top 3 or 4 choices were injured in training camp.

In 2013 it was DL that was a mess because of injuries (Spencer, etc..) and defections (Ratliff) in training camp.

In 2014 is was LB with Lee getting injured before TC forcing them to scramble to trade for McClain.

This year they have stacked positions with depth. Just look at the LB position.
Lee
McClain
Hitchen
Gachkar
Brinkley
4th round pick
Rivers
Wilber
7th round pick

Adding a player like Tate at RB would be like adding Rivers or a 7th round pick to the LB position. It is good insurance. He will probably be cut, but if injures occur is a player that has some ability.

One is washed up and the other should be playing with his kids right now.

They would be bidding against themselves. If anybody was offering anything close to a 1st the deal would have been done long ago.

cause i'm smart enough to know there is simply no answer that will make you grin and go "oh, i get it!!!" so why bother. i'd have more success explaining the theory of flight patterns for laden swallows in the middle ages than having an intelligent conversation starting off with such stupidity.

you whine first, you get whine in return.

wah.

Lol still no answer. Go ahead and try.

If Jones still has his speed, which I doubt he does and is the kick returner he used to be?

Then that's what I would look at him for. Not to handle many carries.

Ben Tate? Know's how to run in a zone blocking scheme but has stunk ever since he signed a pay day.

I just think it's a looksie, nothing substantial here.

He ran a 4.8 at the veterans combine, tyron Crawford can run him down.

They don't need him here now. Let him risk injury there for now. Running backs can learn an offense quickly.

Ben Tate played for our local HS here in OCean City ,MD so I've always rooted for him.

He has been successful in the past and is a great kid that works hard. I hope it works out.

Bringing in Felix is silly. Who's next Peyton Hillis???

Ben Tate is a good player.

I'm sure Cowboyszone is hating on him because he isn't a huge name but he can play.

He'll probably get the same amount of hate as McFadden for not being ulta productive on a terrible team.

Complete waste of time, neither one is any better then what is already on the roster. Tate was terrible last season.
