This board is a dumpster fire after a loss. I've never seen so many grown people overreact to such an extent.

What a truly embarrassing fan base we have. I hate to be group alongside such pathetic wind bags.
Just an ordinary loss eh? What's pathetic is casually accepting yet ANOTHER loss....when we were completely in the (bus) driver's seat.....to Rodgers and his poor team....yet again.

We should be furious. It's not the end of the season but it's maddening.

of course we don’t need to talk about actual football talent here and the billions reasons why Josh Allen and Dak are not even on the same planet, but let’s just address this “new situation” Dak Stans are latching on to to defend their boy, so we can kill it right now:

Josh Allen is in a red-zone slump. Unlike Dak, it’s a slump, not year in and year out horrible play and a problem of Dak’s since he’s been in this league. Josh Allen also has blamed himself for his bone-headed throws, while Dak is telling us his receivers are at fault.
I posted a couple times yesterday...I accidentally found out...Dak had 5 4th qtr comebacks in 2016. He's had 5 since.

That's serious slump there! Not like we haven;t had opportunities.

Nobody believes in Rush as the answer to Dallas’s main flaw. We believe that Dak is a sunk cost, just like Garrett was a sunk cost and the bigger priority is cutting ties with the sunk cost, whatever we can get out of Rush while we draft a QB is gravy.

Getting rid of Dak is also the only way to change the offense, as this is the Dak-friendly offense we spent 7 years tailoring it to. So all you people talking about replacing MOORe before Dak, good luck. Dak’s mental make-up is probably his worst asset.

Let's put it this way: this team would have won and lost the same games with Rush under center as with Dak.

What I'm still missing is the prove that Dak is the difference maker. Yesterday he should have been. The game wasn't lost in the fourth quarter but in the first half imo. And whether it was his fault or his receivers', in the end they couldn't get it done.

And that's the bitter truth. I don't care anymore if Dak is a top ten QB or not. In the end it's about where he makes the difference compared to Rush.

He does have the better talent and SHOULD be a huge improvement. But so far he either can't overcome the shortcomings of this team or just isn't back to 100%. And if he can't prove otherwise they better use that cap room for improving the team around the QB next time instead of selling their souls for the talent of one man of 55.

Gee, I'd rather lose a game against Denver or the Bears every now and then than to gawd damn Green Bay all the friggin time.

No I wasn’t comparing them. I was simply saying Allen has not been very good the last few games and asked if those criticizing Dak felt the same about Allen due to his performance. The teams have the same record and Buffalo’s losses are primarily a result of Allen’s play.
Why would anyone feel the same way about Allen as they do Dak? Again, not in the same orbit.

In 2019, he had ZERO wins when down at half-time. This aura around him regarding his ‘abilities’ is imaginary, Also, these type of comebacks are not really comebacks, just game management, meaning relying on a OL and RG to wear down the opposing defense, keeping the team within striking distance in the 4th. Dak just don’t have to bungle anything in year 1.

We understand even GREAT QBs have growing pains. But we know they have the tools and they show flashes of greatness. It’s about putting it together for him. When we talk about Dak, it’s completely different. This is year 7 of the same ineptitude over and over and over again,

Context matters…

Not only does Dak know that he brings marginally more to the table, but he also knows the team does not respect him.

We know this by all the positive affirmations that the coaches send out to Dak. Owners glowing about what an incredible leader he is and how his star shines so bright.

This team played at a different tune for rush and nobody know it more than Dak. Of course he has the money and the starting job and a great night sleep on his comfy bed, but deep down, Dak knows he’s a below average qb who hoodwinked the cowboys for a lot of money.

The skins just beat the eagles with a backup qb similar to rush and they did it with the same formula we use. Except they have mcclaurin and a dominant defensive line.
I don't mind losing as much as I do the stupidity of the posts that follow a loss.

It is really mind-boggling that these are actual serious thoughts.

Josh Allen is just a far better passer than Dak. And it will NEVER be close. If you say otherwise you are lying to yourself. Dak is not a great passer.

Is Dak a better Qb than Rush?

Well in certain situations he clearly is not. He has a better arm. I’m not sure about anything else the more I watch.

But Rush’s sample size is small, including when he has a bad game. Rush was off from the beginning, meaning his throws at the start were off. He also was getting pressured heavily.

Even then, the game was down to 3 by the 4th and Rush played decent in the second half.

I watched the whole game over again yesterday and rewatched a lot of Rush's games. What is clearly evident is Rush gets the ball out quickly, often before the receiver turns to the QB and goes through progression when first option is not open. Dak on the other hand holds the ball until the receiver turns to the QB and then throws, and takes a bit longer to go throw progression. That slight delay in throwing and going through progression is the difference and why Dak struggles to be consistent and accurate. The results will be the same with either QB. Neither are difference makers, but I'd rather take a smarter QB any day. You can forgive physical errors. Its much harder to forgive mental errors.

He's not such a great runner either. So, what is he?
