I’m talking about giving significant playing time to backup players like Vaughn, Spann-Ford, Lance, Johnson, Mingo, Waletzko, Richards - all of them - all game long rotate these guys in on the next possession or stand. Not just sending them in out of necessity due to injury.

Agreed, but McCarthy is a lame duck coach and I don't know if he cares about giving everyone those opportunities or evaluating players at this point. He probably wants to win as many games as possible as that's his only ticket to new opportunities so unless told not to he's going to play the guys he thinks are the best.
