Whirlly has evaded Intelligence and common sense for years. It's impressive, in a sad way...lol
Anyone using "speak to text" probably has a few loose screws.
I will say at least he isn’t a condescending windbag who writes novels without punctuation like another poster on this board.

Lance is not a fit for Mike’s offense. If Lance ever starts it will be when he Cowboys have fully given up. He should start vs the Giants.

Rush will be out of the league next year and judging by his reaction on the sideline yesterday, he knows it. The look of a guy who knows it's over and retirement is looming.

As for Lance, he just doesn't have it. Whether that's his own fault or just being in bad situations, it doesn't really matter. The league is about to move on with him and the best he can hope for is maybe sticking around somewhere and being a career backup like Josh Johnson.

Rush had a great gig for a while, but now the gig is up.

No team is giving him anything close to what he gets now. We aren’t gonna sign him and shouldn’t. If you don’t trust him after 2 years then time to move on
Alright lol. You think much more highly of Jerry than I do. I see Lance not only getting re-signed but the backup here next year.

I don't know if that's true. They did replace Rush yesterday. My guess is Rush's leash isn't all that long.
They brought Lance in to mop up when we had little to no chance of a comeback. That will be his role. We were 5-1 with Rush going into this season and they'll ride with the fact that we can win with him. Just because we didn't last week (and probably won't next week) doesn't mean they will give him the hook. Maybe if he just absolutely stinks it up, but McCarthy wants to win and most likely believes a QB he has won with is better than a QB who was brought in to try to see if he even had the ability to play in this league. Until winning is no longer the main goal, we'll likely see Rush.

There is no trade happening, both QBs are FAs at the end of the season. The Lance trade was a complete waste of a draft pick, a roster spot and valuable cap dollars that could’ve helped elsewhere. Both QBs are crap behind the very overpaid crap starter. The entire situation here is ridiculous!

:lmao: yes we would love to see him pass for 50 yards next time. Just start Lance and let him play but I guess they don't want to zap his confidence playing behind this terrible offensive line. I just wish we gave Trey a full week with the starters to prepare and call plays that make use of his physical traits. But who am I kidding. That's not the way McCarthy calls this offense. We better hope Nico Collins doesn't play because if he do they might hang 50 on us.
If Will Anderson is back we might have to play the backup QBs.

CD said the offense and play calls didn't give Rush any help.

Mind boggle. We have a pared down system for Qak. We have special package for Trey, but we open the playbook for a backup with 6 games under his belt.

Can't make this stuff up. And Booger says, "I thought we'd play better."

This is like a quad combo Culverhouse, Davis, Bidwell, Irsay ownership.

Lance played part of the 3rd quarter and all of the 4th, so it wasn't just coming in and handing the ball off to run out the clock so Rush could be protected from injury - as if protecting Rush from injury was really an overriding concern anyway. It was pretty clear the change was made because Rush was so incredibly ineffective. There was time to come back had Rush been playing well. It was a 3 score game when Lance came in, and, while daunting, that's not the kind of lead where you throw in the towel with a full quarter left to play.

That said, sure Rush will get a chance to do better this week. His history shows he can be much better than he was Sunday. But my guess is they will game plan for at least some involvement with Lance this week, and if Rush is anywhere near as bad as he was Sunday it's likely the team will go back to Lance. From there it may just be a matter of whether Lance could take advantage enough to earn a start the game after.
