Wilson is, and has been, a better QB than Rodgers.

You guys have done a good job talking about him, he's an incredible player.

Starts, wins, TD/INT, pro bowls, NFLrecords, NFL firsts, rushing,....what difference does era make?
It makes a massive difference. TD/INT is a completely different measure today than it used to be. TD passes are way up and INTs are way down compared to eras past. QB rushing as well.

When I do my.....best first nine seasons ever seen by any QB in history.....first reaction is to battle that claim , that is until ya start breaking it all down, what he has done vs the others, he holds NFL records, yep, great great talent.

Not sure I put him above Aaron Rodgers right now however, I do see Brady, Rodgers as his superior but only them.

Go with how a cat did in his era, who was anymore impressive than Russell Wilson in any era?

Started day one has never missed a game, only 4000/30/500 in history, won more games than anyone in their first nine seasons. Only QB to start a career with nine winning seasons. Second all time passer rating, vs those with his experience or more. Already third all time QB rusher. Next week passes Joe Montana on the all time TD list. 8 pro bowls.

The only QB in history who started every game of his career, has three times more TD's than INT's, has won a SB, rushed for over 4000 yards, has a career passing rating over 100. He walked right in and took over. Yep, talking about that combination.

Hearing about how the Bears want to ease Field in and.............WHAT?????? Just get out there and play like Russell Wilson did, he didn't need to sit a bench be baby sat. Cat hasn't missed a game in nine years, why aren't the Jags baby sitting their rookie QB, how about Mac Jones?

Nagy is an idiot.

This is a flawed way of looking at it because the game changes every generation. 70% completion wasn’t a realistic accomplishment 30 years ago. 5k passing was done once ever as recently as 2004. Now there’s over 10 examples. Same thing with 30 TDs, that used to be a big feat, Joe Montana only ever did that once, Jim Kelly only ever did that once, Heck Tony Romo had the Cowboys first ever 30 TD season in 2007.

So the reason Russell has accumulated all these things over any other QBs is because he’s the youngest great QB to complete 9 seasons. Any of his contemporaries you’d expect to compete with him on this were drafted over a decade before him, they come from a different era: Peyton, Brady, Brees. Romo and Rodgers didn’t even play their first few years, and Mahomes is too young. So Russell just fits in the sweet spot of qualifiers here.

A better question is to compare to era: Instead of 65% passing, ask about how many top 5 seasons in their era. How many top 5 yardages seasons? How many top 5 TD seasons? That’s when the Unitas’s and Marino’s start popping up.
Ive always been a believer that to judge a QB statistically, you look at where they are in comparison to the league average. Then compare them to the top 5 performing QB's.

How about pro bowls
NFL records
Wins
Starts

Wilson has been in 8 pro bowls, holds the 4000/30/500 in a season record, first QB to ever have consecutive 100 passer rating his first two seasons. Only QB to start off with nine winning seasons, Most wins in first nine seasons and has never missed a game. Now add....4th all time leading QB rusher, second all time passer rating for those with at least nine seasons.

Yep, the guy is pretty special, about as good as it gets actually.

First thing people try to do is find reasons to battle all that, why? Just watch the guy play he's amazing.

If ya gave a point for...

pro bowls
4000 yard seasons
60 plus comp%
30 plus TD seasons
less than 12 INT seasons
400 or more rushng yards
100 or more passer rating

In a QB's first nine seasons nobody in history would score more points than Wilson.

Your response to Wilson criticism Vs. actual Wilson criticism is very disproportionate

If we play a little game that works like this....

1 point for

pro bowls
65 or better comp %
4000 yard seasons
30 or more TD
less than 12 INT
seasons where he started every game
seasons where he won a playoff game
over 400 rushing yards
100 or better passer rating

What QB in the history of the game would score more points than Wilson in their first nine seasons (all he has)

His first nine seasons are the best we have seen. He walked right in and took over, nobody has won more games in their first nine seasons.

Yes Tom Brady is THE GOAT but his first nine seasons don't compare to Wilsons. This he won more Superbowls doesn't work, Eli won more than Marino, see what I mean?

not sure the point 99% of any sane fan pout him top 5 Elite in all polls..hes still élite..hes always been batter then Dak..

Watching him walk right in and take over really made an impression on me. I also saw him at Wisconsin, the guy had...IT. Just like his game and he is doing things never seen before.

Watching this QB deal with the Bears is so damn stupid, toss Fields out there just like Carroll did Wilson.

Third round because of his height meaning lack of it.

He set an NCAA record for pass efficency his senior season, which got ignored.

Yesterday Wilson added two more passing TD's to the collection giving him 273 for the career, that ties Joe Montana on the All Time list, next week he moves by him into 18th place all time. with 35 TD's this season he will be number 12 All Time.

It appears that Seahawks D is sucking, which is bad for the team but great for Wilson stat wise, he;ll have to pass more constantly being behind late, look for at least 35td 4500 yards and another 100 plus passer rating to go with a 65ish comp %.

Hell, right now over 73 comp% and a 133 passer rating, wow!!!! Has yet to throw a pick.

By the way Wilson passed Montana Sunday in TD passes, next up Testerverde then Elway.

In just 10 seasons. And one if the very few who has three times more TD's than INT's. Hall of Famer Joe Namath more INT's than TD's, Terry Bradshaw 212 to 210,
