Russia invades Ukraine *** READ RULES IN POST 6 BEFORE POSTING ***

Kyiv said Tuesday it has repaired the damaged Russian Druzhba oil pipeline, clearing the last obstacle to a long-delayed €90 billion EU loan. The move forces Ukraine into the uncomfortable position of resuming Russian oil flows to Hungary and Slovakia even as Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky presses allies to tighten sanctions on Moscow.

Russian cities have been shrouded in smoke from a series of Ukrainian drone strikes that destroyed warehouses belonging to Russia’s Amazon knock-off, ‘Wildberries’. Depots in Moscow, Krasnodar, Elektrostal, Tambov, and Kolodino were razed to the ground as fires swept through the retail giant.

Jerome Starkey brings you the latest news from the war in Ukraine as we uncover that Wildberries was not an innocent online store — we found evidence of fiber-optic drone spools, body armor, drone range amplifiers, and drone bomb droppers being sold alongside reviews from real Russian soldiers who have used the equipment on the frontline.

There's a whole lot we can't get into without violating CZ's rules, but I will say this. I want this thing to end because I don't want people in the Ukraine, in Russia, or anywhere else to get hurt. A dear friend of mine is a young woman who lives near Moscow. I helped her with her English about ten years ago when she was studying to take a language test that she needed to pass to get into college. She worked really hard and did all the exercises I asked her to do, and then she passed her English test with flying colors. She was in the 99th percentile. She worked hard to do that.

I've wanted to visit her in Russia for a long time now, but obviously that would be a bad idea with a war going on. I got worried when I heard some missiles had actually reached Moscow. I don't want anything to happen to her, and I would feel exactly the same if she were from the Ukraine. For God's sake, I just wish this could stop somehow.

I wonder how many generations feel these wartime technology shifts in their lifetimes?

This has been one impressive drone guerrilla warfare coupled with social media and modern communication.

And worse, Iran learned it quickly and is also embarrassing a first-world power with the same type of defense.

Turns out you worried about the wrong thing in those budget purchases. You should have stocked up better on drones and drone defense.

The sad part about all of it and I hope what scares people the most is the potential for this to pull the world into another World War. This is how it starts. The sides are not already lined up, they're already sending full troop loads to and back from North Korea. That ocean and world economy around it is a time bomb ready to go off.

I know. World War I was basically a regional conflict that drew in other countries via secret alliances. I've been afraid that that same thing could go down here. I'll avoid talking about policy so that I don't go against CZ's terms, but I think it's not going over the line to say that I hope this doesn't escalate into a world war. As you correctly point out, that's the last thing any of us should want. Scares the crap out of me.
