He's too cheap and i'm always stuck footing the bill!!! (he never responds to my nice posts though as if he doesn't see them, he sees everything I post seemingly!) Probably in his THOUGHTS right now (I'm just joking around!!!!)
Hey...it's already off-season for us...gotta have some fun, right?

Its mind boggling to me people still want MM back. Have we not forgotten the awful playoff losses the past couple of years. Where this team has looked unprepared. Or the constant penalties all game. Idk this just reeks of Garret to me... a team that has had talent and was good enough to make the playoffs in certain years, but couldn't go beyond that.

I've followed the Bears as a side project for some time now. This would be my luck

none of that matters, it's kind of like reverse psychology we have to play with our own minds because of having an owner like Jerry Jones here. We have to tell ourselves that even though he hasn't been great we have Jerry here that will bring him back, he just like to play around as he's done recently with Dak and Lamb

If you have to fight Jerry just to get a fair contract after what he did this season ........what does that tell ya?
It should be entirely about whether they want MM the be the HC or not, then either let him walk or reach a fair number. Period.

Unfortunately it’s not likely to be based on merit, but money, and how cheap he is willing to work.

If they determine they want him back, there’s no way he should be allowed to walk over an extra million or two a year, but that could happen. That’s how petty and cheap the two idiots are. It doesn’t help that Jerry thinks that working for him should be considered a privilege.

At this point I’m hoping he walks. He will keep us in mediocrity and this needs to crash and burn before it has any shot of getting better.

By this logic I have a 100% chance of getting the Bears job. It's not going to happen but there is a chance no matter how small it may be.
or you have a 100% chance of having a "good shot". how do we define good shot?

isn't that like saying you have a 100% chance of a 65% chance of getting the job? where 65% is a pure guess.

not trying to knock @Hawkeye0202, it's just one of those things that struck me odd \ funny this morning.

If I’m Mike I’d take the Bears job in a second if it’s offered.

Young QB, a front office that actually tries, move the family back to Wisconsin, get away from Jerry….

Mike isn’t going to win here and he is probably smart enough to know it. There’s only so many slaps in the face a man is going to take.

Hes probably a really good fit for Chicago so it makes sense. There aren't super bowl expectations there, thats just a franchise trying to get back to respectability. They've gone the uprising coordinator route multiple times now and gotten burned. A guy with a long history of HC experience and a reputation for working with QBs seems like a reasonable route for Chicago to take if they get the opportunity. He would be a good option if even to get them on the right path for 3 years to hand it off to the next guy to try and put them over the top.
There are no Super Bowl expectations here, either.

It will be interesting if the Cowboys sign McCarthy and Lance. I think that might happen.

The thread title is misleading
He's saying if MM leaves he has a 100%...chance...of getting the Bears job
But his chances of staying in Dallas are fair
But he doesn't have 100% chance in Chicago.
They are very interested in Mike Vrabel and Ben Johnson.
Its' pretty likely they hire a guy by the 14th.
At best he has a 50-60% chance in Chicago come the 14th.

Sort of. Expectations are certainly higher here than in Chicago. 11 wins and a round 1 playoff loss in Dallas next year doesnt do much for McCarthys reputation around Dallas. 11 wins and a playoff loss in Chicago and they may name a street after him.
