Ryan Switzer- nice guy?

How is he gonna give Prescott an easy target when he's the size of a large dog?

I heard this info on the radio too. Ben and Skin show. It was a little disturbing to hear some of the stuff about him.

I can see how being a 5'8" 160 lb receiver on a major college football team can cause you to be a little cocky. Especially from a white guy. One of those traits he would need to have to survive. Cole Beasley is not lacking any confidence (anymore). Julian Edelman is one of the cockiest guys. Can't stand his attitude, but would take the guy on my team.

The same way he did for 96 catches, better than 7 per game, for this year's top drafted quarterback.

The same way Cole Beasley has to lead this team in catches in 2016.

The same way the Patriots' receivers have for years, while they win Super Bowl after Super Bowl.

I heard on the radio that his kid was cocky so Ive been looking at interviews and game highlights and the more I see him I don't see anything wrong with his attitude. He seems confident and competitive, even nice.

Found this video below, which is obviously a production piece, but one thing I think can be said it's hard to fake compassion. Also I'm a bit awkward around kids becouse I was raised old fashioned and stern so I really appreciate when young men are good with children. I hope he can come in and take our special teams play up a notch.

I have heard conflicting reports. One scout mentioned he was so cocky it was obnoxious and teammates didn't like him. I find it hard to believe Garrett (who coined "right kind of guy") would bring that type of player onto team. Rather I think Jason wants more of a fearless attitude on team. I am also confident enough in leaders on this team (Lee, Dez, Witten & even Heath) to control him if he goes too far.

I'm not saying other college guys don't act similarly when it comes to acts of compassion but him being a Cowboy and hearing the negativity, everything seems to point up for this kid.

Also I read he is 5'10"...anyone know how accurate that is?
I've only heard 5',8"

Always go by their height at combine and not their school bio. At the combine he was measured at 68 inches tall. That's 5.6 inches tall. Can someone confirm this? Beasley was listed at 5'8" so Switzer is just tad smaller. Switzer is little heavier too.

One time Switzer kicked my dog so hard it flew across the street, and when I asked him why he would do it he just laughed and flashed me his lip tattoo.

Will be interesting to see if we are smart enough to utilize them both on the field at the same time. As u said NE makes it their base offense, I think Garrett may be borrowing here...it is almost impossible to defend against. Who comes off the field when NE runs the two slots, a halfback or TE or one of the outside receivers or all of the above?
that would be interesting, and dak is better with the short throws.
people complained last year that dak was all dink and dunk, no deep throws, but that is what Montana did and it worked good for him.

Thanks for sharing. This is a great story, and I'd say it speaks volumes about Switzer's character. This story wasn't about a person with fame doing something to get more attention, this was about an 8th grade boy going out of his way to befriend a kid that was different. How many of us could say we would've done the same at that age, when life is all about being popular?

Awesome story, I really hope this Switzer kid makes it big in Big D...

Not sure where this stuff about Switzer being some sort of "bad guy" came from.
There's no evidence of that at all.
He IS a very confident guy though. Same can be said for Dak and Zeke, btw.
Quotes from scouts that Bob McGinn talked to before the draft. But if you've read those quotes over the years, a lot of these scouts are idiots.

I will say this: Ryan Switzer on the field is hyper-cocky. Noticably brash, and indignant to the opposition.

My impression of him was wow this kid is good and he knows it. He is a complete punk on the field.

Off the field I've heard a mixed bag. Magnanimous and charitable... friends with anyone type.
I've heard the exact opposite. He's exactly the punk he is on the field.

Either way the kid is an outstanding football player, and he won't be the biggest fish in the pond in Dallas. I was pumped when he was drafted and I remain so. He will help this football team make no mistake.
