Kinda strange we put in a claim for this guy.. Why not wait til he passes waivers.. Then sign him for the vet min..

Because he's already signed for the vet minimum. You claim him, he's yours. No need to negotiate or pay any signing bonus, you don't have to wait for him to decide whether to sign, and there's no chance of him signing with anyone else.

He's a safety pure and simple regardless of what NO did with him. Ran a 4.55 at the combine at over 200 lbs and had a vertical of 37.5 over 10 feet on the broad jump. That's some explosion. I see him being special teams at the min. Drafted in the 5th round by NO.

We hit the third page before the doom and gloom emo crew showed up.

A new record by 2.7 pages!

I,m enjoying this page and really don't expect anyone to throw out trolling comments. That would be unwise.

Are they stuck with his salary (i.e. is it guaranteed)?

I liked him when he was a 3rd CB for the Saints but he seemed to lose confidence when forced to play as the 2. Might have some upside in Rod Marinelli's system.

Wait, we signed a FA of significance already? Please cut the bull crap. "Camp bodies" at this time in FA are waste. Wait for June 1st cuts.

Yeah, because teams couldn't be cutting players that are a schematic mismatch, good players but high salaried, or anything like that.

The Cowboys should just forfeit the 2015 season and offer any pass rusher 40mIL guaranteed next year.

Let me know if Corey White falls in any of the categories mentioned.

Agree, Yes he could. As we know playing CB in Rob Ryan's defense can make Revis look bad, well average...lol.... So a change of scenery and scheme, could just be very good. At least for some much needed depth.

Uh, the Saints had him playing at CB, and he's obviously better suited at safety. But that's just according to experts. You probably know more about him than any of them do.

Also, why do you care if they sign some guy that, if he's not that good, will just get cut after camp anyways? I mean, worst case scenario Jerry Jones buys the guy a modest home. Why does it bother you so much? Maybe he ends up as the #4 CB and a special teamer.

You act like the Cowboys are proclaiming him as the next Richard Sherman and put him #1 on the depth chart.

It doesn't bother me "so much." It's a waste time. There's no need to do this move this early. Other teams are signing quality depth and we're looking at camp bodies already.

Please don't be mad at the "touchdown cowboys" comment.

Perhaps the Cowboys feel that this guy is quality depth. And with their track record in the draft and no-name Free Agents lately, you should really give them a little leeway. They've been doing really, really well in the talent acquisition department lately.

I think Marinelli will keep him at CB. He's probably best suited as a 3rd or 4th CB. He was a poor fit for Rob's scheme and forced to start. Sterling Moore was also a guy that some had pegged to move to safety.

It could happen. According to his scouting report when he was drafted in 2012, it said he plays best with the play developing in front of him, which would be fine in zone coverage.

I've watched every game of his the past 3 seasons. The guy has all the physical tools necessary, but is definitely lacking in the instincts department. Decent depth player at the least
