He was on his 5th wife, so he has children in their 30's.
But his grandson was there when this happened. He is 7 or 8. It sounds like he kind of blamed himself, because he said things like, "I wish I would have got my BB Gun", and "I think I left the door unlocked".
Poor little guy, it wouldn't have mattered if the door had been locked or if he had his bb gun or not.
These people came to do something terrible and made sure that's what they did.
