Every year the cap rises it makes the people who call us irresponsible for pushing money into future years look more and more foolish. Anything we pushed forward becomes a proportionally smaller amount each year. If we just played it straight we would make less effective use of the cap money.

Our only advantage is that our line is so good, that Miller may want to come here just to be able to raise his profile in the NFL. He could put up some serious numbers with this Line and a healthy Romo.

Jacksonville and Oakland are 70mil + under the cap. Plenty of other teams are 30mil + under the cap. Guys like Lamar Miller ain't coming to Dallas when they can get paid somewhere else.

But there aren't that many teams looking for a starting back.

Both Jax and Oakland have options.

Lots of teams do and aren't looking at spending say $4 mil on a back in order to give him 20 carries a game, because they don't need that type of back.

Off the top of my head, the teams that could be interested in Miller-

-NYG
-Det
-SF
-Hou

I don't get too excited about this, because this just means everybody has more to spend, so the overall prices just go up.

Exactly. This free agency will have more money than any in Salary cap history!
Prices will be insane.

Could be a ton more teams interested.
Many teams go RBBC and Miller is an excellent fit as a back in a committee. 4-6m is not too much to pay a guy as part of a two-headed attack that does it all well.

Dallas fans love the dude and we aren't the only ones.
He is my only real RB target in FA but he might get 7-8m a year. This FA will be crazy.

And this fact could reland Rolando McClain, Claiborne, and Greg Hardy back in a Star.

49ers have Hyde and Bush although I could see them try but not serious offer

It drives me crazy that we don't maximize the cap. We have a cash advantage and won't use it.

We went crazy when the cap was stagnant and now that the cap is exploding we want to go with the austerity budget.

It is mind bottling, especially since we are in the twilight of Romo's career. DEN showed us how to go all in.

Yeah but even with our crappy last 20 years guys still want to wear the star. You hear it all the time from all age levels

Todays players want paid or win a championship more than wearing the star....its competition all the way around...not much loyalty to team anymore....
