I would be more impressed if they kept if for next year. It would also be nice to have around 10 million to do some things during the season if we needed to.
I made that known to John813 in an earler response.I may be off here, but maybe it's because they are paying qb watson only 1M this year trying to get around his suspension $ penalty? They'll need that cap next year when he gets his real $.

It’s actually worse because the Browns need their cap space to cover next year (unless Watson is suspended for a year) so they basically have nothing.
Watson’s contract covers suspensions, so he gets paid in full regardless
