The release of Hurns created $4million in cap space for this year. Prior to his release, Dallas had $19 million in cap space and the move now puts them at about $23 million.

However, this move did not change the 2020 salary cap space that is at $74 million.

Why didn't the 74 million increase to $78 million?

To my understanding, teams are allowed to roll over unused cap savings.

I do declare that I believe that happens at the end of the year, honey child.

No rollover dollars are included in the $74 million figure for next year. Since Hurns was not counting as anything for next year, it didnt change.

I followed the cap space closely last year.

The cap space for 2019 did not increase by the amount of space left over at the end of the 2018 season.

I never said I knew...

Doesn't the rollover happen at the end of the season once all contract incentives have been paid?

Oh! I think I have the vapors!

Funny story:
My mother loved loved loved Sam Elliott, but she kept thinking he was Eli Wallach (don't ask me how she did this conundrum).
When I was born, she named me after her favorite actor... although she got his name wrong.
I was supposed to be a Sam.

Lol.

Well now I can never look at you as “corso” again. You now have to change your name.

Lol. It's true!
And Corso is true.
I'm here for the downtrodden and the ones who didn't have that chance to...
Crap, I was getting into speech-mode.

One time my Army Reserve unit was at Fort Hunter Liggett in Central California and they were filming the movie "We were Soldiers" at the same time. Mel Gibson had a half dozen people that kept everyone away from him but Sam Elliot would stay in the NCO club drinking with guys until closing time. I didn't talk to him in depth but everyone in my unit loved him.

He's come to El Paso the past 2 years.
We've had a laugh over it.
Extremely cool man. I can understand my mother's crush. I'm glad I'm not a Sam though...
I married into a family where the patriarch is a Samuel and all the sons are as well.
That would have been... weird.

Omg Hunter Liggett. My unit did an experimental training package up there back in 2005. I though the terrain was so beautiful

Sam Elliott is a Cowboys fan, right? I think he narrated a Cowboys show that aired on NFL Network.

All of it.
At the time I had about 6 months left. Myself and about 30 others with the same amount of time left went to Hunter Liggett to be opposing forces for an experimental training package my untit was doing called Distributive Operations. The premis of it being that make infantry units function as a 4 man team model over a 12 man squad model. Most infantry manuevers are done on 12 man squad level, this was to change that to more effectively fight the Iraq and Afgan wars.

As for the terrain. Gorgeous grassland. Made me think of what I thought an African savanna would look like. That fact, as well as the fact opposing force is always fun, made it probably the only time we actually enjoyed field work. Also for us opposing force guys, it was our last hurrah as field Marines
