No the lesson is don't be a RB if you want a potentially long NFL career.Kids there is a lesson here. If you are a talented player harness that and try to be the best ever. Emulate Jerry Rice as a tireless worker and student of the game. Be a HOFer. Don’t be a partying moron, with questionable conditioning and an entitled attitude. This way you won’t be washed up at 27.
I don’t feel sorry for Zeke at all. He should have been great instead he is done at 27.
Backup center/guard3rd strong RBs are core special team contributors. Do you see or want Elliott covering kick-offs?
What!? Lol JG ran him into the ground what do you expect
So he had > 250 carries 3 times in his career. None since 2019. Henry at 28 had 349 this season. AP had greater than 250 carries 7 times. Emmitt did that 12 times. Cook was 1 short 3 years ago but has eclipsed 250 carries the last 4 years. Elliott being over used is a comical excuse. What!? Lol JG ran him into the ground what do you expect
That too but especially don’t be Zeke.No the lesson is don't be a RB if you want a potentially long NFL career.
You know someone will get injured on some team and they will need a RB. Happens every year involving multiple positions, not just the RB position. Some team will sign him, not for much but he can still play.
NOT happening, Dallas isn't resigning Zeke.....After Dallas drafts a RB they could resign Elliott at a very good price.
You then would have Pollard as the one, draftee as the two, and Elliott as the three.
I think we could live with that.
NO, the lesson for the Cowboys should be is to NEVER draft another running back in the first round....No the lesson is don't be a RB if you want a potentially long NFL career.
They have Pollard coming back from injury and Davis who showed some good stuff last season. Ideally, they grab Robinson at #26 which solidifies the RB position and probably makes Pollard expendable next season. If they don't grab Robinson, then get OG Torrence with the 1st round pick and in the 2nd round try and grab RB Devon Achane as he is a speed back that could be a Pollard replacement.Yeah forgot about the dead money, thanks for reminding me.
It seemed like a good move having Elliott as the third option. I guess not. Back to the drawing board.
he doesn't play special teams. no way a 3rd rb is allowed that stipulationAfter Dallas drafts a RB they could resign Elliott at a very good price.

The narrative? Dallas is dumb/mean for cutting Zeke. 31 other teams are smart for saying “no thanks!”If 31 teams don't want Zeke, logically why would the Cowboys?
You don't rush for almost 900 yards & 12 TDs and be considered "done". He could still be a good part-timer for some team of need. And some of ya'll wanted him to take a pay cut and stay.
He's done and it's okay to move on.
u can draft a rb in the 7th rd and he could get those # with zeke carry and goal line carryYou don't rush for almost 900 yards & 12 TDs and be considered "done". He could still be a good part-timer for some team of need.
No doubt, but my point was addressing how Zeke isn't totally done just yet. Overpaid? Yes.u can draft a rb in the 7th rd and he could get those # with zeke carry and goal line carry
it is nothing special at all he was #10 in attempt last season
BS. Even a team rep, said they lose a lot with those 12 TD's as Pollard is not that type of a RB to replace those TD's. So no 7th rounder will either.u can draft a rb in the 7th rd and he could get those # with zeke carry and goal line carry
