Listening to him on the lunch break he seems like a nice guy with a good attitude, generous in his comments....and he credited some of his attitude (patience for example) to...err, T.O

So will he be the most dominate WR in the league like...errr, T.O?

This is the sort of thing ESPN never reported... TO being a good teammate doesn't sell ads.

That is because he isn't a good teammate, there is nothing to report on. Even the biggest ****** bags have friends.

Nice post. You could have put a little more into your 5th one.

I don't think he could have, really. I think this was just about the best of what he's got.

I think if Hurd can avoid the injury bug he will be a big help to this offense. I don't see him as an elite WR just a guy who can run good routs and catch the ball and can help move the chains.

He's not Michael Irvin but he's the most like him we have on the team at WR. Problem is we have two TEs who are possession receivers and more.

Hurd has a outstanding attitude, works his arse off, solid hands, decent speed, and runs great routes. He's the type of player you want on your team, everybody can't be a star but can still be extremely productive..

I would say Hurd is a bit quicker than a TE even the ones we have. I do not expect Hurd to be a HOF WR but as NE showed before Moss you can get the job done with quality role players and I think Hurd can be an asset to this team if and it is a big if for him to say healthy.

I've always liked Sam Hurd, the person. Sure hope he gives us something on the field this season.

I like Hurd... I thought when he came into the league he looked like he had a little something. seems like he really did all he could to learn from TO and Keyshawn as well. With the new wedge rules, I expect that guys like him -- fast, willing tacklers -- are going to be a little more valuable.

No doubt. As a #4, we could do much much worse. Should he need to be our #3 I wouldn't be terribly worried.

With our TEs and RBs, I'd actually be fine with Austin and Hurd as starters in a pinch. We're legitimately four-deep at WR. The position group is starting to look like the old Green Bay roster where they kept plugging in big no-name players who seemingly developed into capable starters year after year.

You think he's as quick as MartyB? Or enough so to make a difference? I see him as a backup occ role player at WR but a good STs player.
