No, get rid of him now, if the man can't run around the field in shorts, he'll never survive an entire season, we've tried that with Lee, LVE and Gallup. (If it's an ACL tear). And what happened with them?

Time to move on, do an injury settlement and promote a rookie....
He's a drafted player on a rookie contract, not going to cost them a roster spotif and when he goes on IR, team isn't cutting him....

Get ready for a lot of exciting DE reps from Golston and Fehoko. Thin position gets even thinner. Kneeland is going to be counted on to essentially play starter snaps.

Maybe 2 or 3 guys still on the free agent list that can play meaningful snaps. I’ll hold my breath on a free agent signing tho.

So it’s a 100% guarantee in your mind that he’ll be on the team in 2025? It’s not that sure a bet.
Absolutely. Why not? This is only his 3rd year. He is young and likely comes back at 100%.

There is zero doubt he is on the 2025 roster. If he isn't ready for week one (should be), PUP.

Will the Cowboys draft a DE next year. They should. But even that won't change Williams roster status for next year.

Don't worry. Jerry says we need to do more with less, anyway. Now we have even less.

Why not is because his critical third season will be lost to a serious injury. There’s no assurances he returns to 100%. There’s been plenty of players that never returned to form after an ACL and Michael Gallup was one of them. Williams never made the big second year jump most were expecting which is why this was a critical year for him. Like I said I’m not saying he won’t make the team next year, but it’s not a guarantee. There’s no guarantee with any player that’s been inconsistent and had an off the field issue that they’ll make the team. The only locks are our starters from the previous year.
