All these years that I waited for Randy Gregory to show his “potential”.. I was excited to hear Dal had him signed. Then, they didn’t. So, I was disappointed and didn’t think we could pull off replacing him. Gregory never did live up to projected sack totals, but he was very disruptive. Opponents had to pay attention to him.

Of course, I wasn’t prepared for Gregory’s obtuse and unappreciative attitude towards the team that stood by his side through his ignorant charades.

That said, I believe Dal somehow found a way to make our DE position stronger. Not only are they available (as JJ put it).. but we added a good mix of veteran and young talent that I believe will create a better pass rush overall.

Unlike last year.. We have a healthy DLaw, an ascending player in Armstrong, Fowler has made some noise this camp and knows DQs scheme, Sam Williams is showing real promise already as a rookie, and even Basham is motivated.

AND I haven’t even mentioned Parson’s pass rushing prowess .

I seriously believe this group will excel and surprise most the league.. and even some of our own fans

honorable mention: UDFA Mika Tafua has looked like a good project player also. Hoping he makes the practice squad and will be ready to contribute next year

He's not going to have a Micah Impact (but who does?), but I think by the middle of Year 2 he's going to be someone we are all going to be very happy with.
Barring injury, he's definitely going to show flashes this year. Maybe quite a few of them.

I have been mildly impressed, but not yet to the point of banging a gong for him.

I do like the fact that he was intentionally exposed to the inside rush at Mississippi and that he was not all that great at it. He's been through the grinder, let's see how he is used.

Right now, he is a dice roll that Quinn took on personally. This was basically his draft choice.

I thought he looked really, really good. His potential is terrific. He does need to keep his hands off the helmets and face masks though.

All the best to them.
And you? Mildly impressed?
My my, Alex.
A toast to this rare occasion.
I broke out my cheap Scotch.

His impact will help Micah and vice versa
Pressure creates opportunities for everyone
What I really liked is he is more refined in his pass rush moves that I expected and he has a strong bull rush for a guy with speed like he does. In time he will learn to use them to setup the next

Well, this is a bit rude. Scotch is best reserved for the finer moments.

This might be a case where shot-gunning a couple of Coors Lights might have been more appropriate.

Now, we he makes a difference in the regular season, then the cheap Scotch.
