Although he had off the field issues, it is surprising to me that he was not higher on other team's draft boards. There didn't seem to be a market for him. I remember when he was drafted he said he knew there was one other team in addition to the Cowboys that he knew would draft him if they had chance to, presumably in second or third round.

If Cowboys had drafted Tariq Woolen in 3rd instead of Jalen Tolbert then they would have drafted 3 of the biggest freaks of the draft.

Tyler Smith - 6'5 333 5.02
Sam Williams - 6'4 261 4.46
Tariq Woolen - 6'4 205 4.26

It's sad because Tariq Woolen is currently one of the better young CBs in the league, sadly playing for the Seahawks even though he was born and raised in Fort Worth and grew up a Cowboys fan.

For me the best part of that game. Made a great impact for just 14 snaps.

Wow, rewatch all 3 plays. One can see how much Sam Williams has been practicing and developing some serious good rushing moves, much better technique, developed a bend going around opposing Tackles and using his speed, quickness and strength to get to an opposing QB. Sam Williams played like a BEAST possessed for only being allowed to play a measly 14 plays. Inexcusable on Dan Quinn's part not to play Sam Williams much more.

Why continue bringing up Gregory? He has nothing to do with this team whatsoever.
Cuz Williams is outplaying him on a rookie contract. A lot of fans were doom and gloom when he left but we got a rookie who is outperforming him. So I'm excited about that. I'm excited we didn't waste money on one guy and have more production from his younger, cheaper and less maintenance replacement.

It's crazy cause the knock on him was he couldn't stop the run but he played in a three man front in the sec and was undersized.

He was my favorite draft pick ..... I said he would be starting by midseason ........ I may be wrong about that but it won't be long.
I don’t recall you saying this. But if so congratulations. Because I think the kid is a superstar coming out of college. He could be actually another Mike Parsons. Yes that’s how good he is. Only thing held him back was injury
