It was a bad accident. I live and work near this intersection. It is always dicey driving through there. I like's Sam's message coming out of it.

If the motor and or drivetrane is good then that car still has value on the open market.

I'd be willing to bet his pride was hurt worse than his body. His body is probably in similar/worse collisions on a weekly basis.

Back in my day we used to drive to the game drunk, crash along the way, play in the game, get 3 sacks, get drunk after the game, and drive back home in the totaled car. Kids these days.

And THAT is why he is a football player and not a race car driver.
Other professional athletes, entertainers, etc. have done the same thing --
along with men and women in other walks of life (doctors, lawyers) who can afford that type of car.

So, who was at fault for the collision or is Texas no fault?

Some guy will probably buy the car from copart, then attempt to rebuild it.

This is just my opinion, but from the pics it doesn't look like there's any street lights, and seeing as he got tboned, if Sam was trying to turn at an intersection then the other driver had the right away.

Insurance companies today are much quicker to total a car than attempt to repair it.

Not to mention cars today are designed to crumple when involved in an accident. Sure, it’s easier to total a car than it used to be, but something has to absorb the impact of the crash, and it’ll either be the car or the occupants.
