The iMac is about 4 yrs old. I added more memory early this year so I should have another 3-4 years out of it

Bookmarks automatically sync together. Either way, go with what works for you.

They are pretty much the same except for clicking sync. I didn't realize the newest function existed until a little after I posted everything.
