While the Cowboys looked pretty good yesterday, at least on Defense, the Offense is still TBD due to not having to do too much, I'm still holding any reservations about expectations due to watching the 49ers dismantle the Steelers. They still demonstrate the physicality that has caused major problems for the Cowboys. They are the most balanced and physical team in the Conference if not the NFL. We didn't get to see much of the Cowboys Offense last night to get a good read on their status. We should get a better read in the coming weeks leading up to the Week 5 matchup at the 49ers.

I think it comes down to if the Cowboys offense is still mediocre or if the Cowboys defense is one of the best since the Seahawks of 2013. Who knows how it ends up.

I'm not going to argue that. If if we are 4-0 when we face them, we aren't better until we beat them.

Period.

I give the NFC edge to the Eagles with Dallas and SF neck and neck.

It’s one week, it doesn’t mean much. The Niners, Eagles and Cowboys are the cream of the NFC and we don’t know much about how that pecking order will look a couple months from now. I think injuries will matter more than anything we saw yesterday.

A few of the preseason darlings were exposed over the weekend. The Steelers were one of them. The bandwagon riders who picked the Steelers as a top 10 team must have been smoking something.

The 49ers were impressive but by the end of the season I think the Giants will prove to be a better team than the Steelers. In other words, the Cowboys win against the Giants on the road was pretty impressive too.

I won’t put the Cowboys above the Niners until they beat them. They have my respect. The Eagles on the other hand, I think are overhyped. I predict we sweep them this year.
I can agree with this. Although it's not so much regular season, it's the playoffs when it comes to beating San Francisco.

Philly doesn't look good at all. With a pick 6 and 2 fumbles the first few minutes of the game should have put it away..... Like last season.

Mac was driving NE right down the field to win it, and I think would have, but receiver didn't get his second foot down with half a minute to go

Considering the Eagles and San Fran have been further than us the previous year, you have to put them above us if they have the same record, until we face them head to head and beat them.
I disagree. Teams are up and down each year especially teams that lose in the Superbowl.

Philly is a different team with a huge turnover in players and coaches.

I'm ok with folks saying San Francisco is better right now but no way is Philly a better team...... As of this moment

During the playoffs there will be teams that can put up 20 to 35 points against us. If the offense doesn’t show up during those games we will lose. We’ve seen it all before.
I'm not sure if teams will though against this defense. San Francisco didn't the past 2 times in the playoffs, however, it was Dallas offense that didn't score the 20-35 points they need to win in the playoffs

Philly is an interesting situation. The conditions yesterday were poor which could have led to some offensive issues for them. Their OL was bad yesterday which was surprising given that they, on paper, have the best OL in football. Defensively, their DL is good. Both Davis and Carter played well. But LBs and Ss are big questions. Pats feasted on the underneath stuff against their LBs. Also, they lost Dean to a leg injury so who knows how long he'll be out.

I think the issue with them the next few weeks surrounds the coordinators. Both are new. Both did not have good games yesterday. The good news for them is they face the Vikes thursday at home. Vikes D is atrocious. Eagles should be able to score on them.

And honestly, Sirianni seems like a tocking time bomb with me in terms of a decision maker. That call to go for it on 4th down just over midfield yesterday was mindnumbingly stupid. If that dude gets two feet down there inside the 10, I think the Pats would have won.
