Lol at people judging the offense in pouring rain. That is what defense and running the ball is for. And that's what we did.
Exactly this "I need to see the offense improve" stuff is crazy, I need to see this offense do exactly what they did last night.. When the DEFENSE is railing on a team DRIVE THE BALL AND SCORE POINTS i dont need the greatest show on turf with that game going on.

Just as a reminder, the team scored 3 points last year during the opener after sitting the entire preseason. That game was good weather too. Last night the offense scored 27 in a torrential downpour after not playing at all during the preseason and installing a new offense. They also took their foot off the gas some time in the second half due to, you know, winning 40-0.

The offense wasn't sharp but some patience is warranted.

The margin of victory may not reflect it but I think we can actually play a lot better. While we won't get a ST/Def TD's every game, I think this offense has a ton of potential.
Agree. I didn't mean for my post to come off as negative

CowboysZone ULTIMATE Fan
Not infatuated. You seem to think saying anything positive about another team means you are a secret fan of the other team… some of us, like to be honest with ourselves… It’s all good, you fan your way I’ll fan my way
Actually I don’t. You are wrong. But it is over the top. Just an observation.

The first several games imo impossible to tell the outcome of a season. Some teams just start off slow and look terrible the first 3 or 4 weeks. Believe the chiefs superbowl run that one year they upgraded the OL they were terrible to start the season.

While the Cowboys looked pretty good yesterday, at least on Defense, the Offense is still TBD due to not having to do too much, I'm still holding any reservations about expectations due to watching the 49ers dismantle the Steelers. They still demonstrate the physicality that has caused major problems for the Cowboys. They are the most balanced and physical team in the Conference if not the NFL. We didn't get to see much of the Cowboys Offense last night to get a good read on their status. We should get a better read in the coming weeks leading up to the Week 5 matchup at the 49ers.
This is all you have after OUR opening game domination of a playoff team from last year, at their place, who was supposed to be much improved.

It’s a long season Debbie Downer!

If our D tightens up against the run WE will be able to beat anyone. I like Mikes new O too. Give it a little time. Playing in a rainstorm didn’t help.

the eagles offense did not look great, did you watch the game?
Yes I did and they had a lot of good plays. That o-line is especially good giving Hurts all kinds of time to run or scramble. They have a lot of luck too. Almost everything went their way.

What amazes me is how people still don't get it. Dallas won with little or NO offensive in put. Not only won, decimated our opponent ! Question , how many more games do you think we'll play in a rainstorm ?

Now , it was just one game and it was the Giants, but one down ! Remember the mission fellas. Let's go

This Team is different!!!!!!!!
