The Cowboys beat the Eagles last season and would have beat them twice with both teams completely healthy. They hung on to beat the Patriots

The 49ers won that playoff game because Pollard got hurt. If he plays a full game the Cowboys win that.

The speed of this season's defense negates any advantage Hurts might have as a runner.

This Cowboys team should fear no one. They have given teams good reason to fear them.

Cowboys' effort on D was impressive, no doubt. That being said, we need to see this offense improve.
My prediction is that people here will be freaking out about the offense for quite a while. Last night was weird between the weather and the game situations. Over the next few weeks, we get the two best defenses in football (Jets and 49ers) and a very strong Patriots defense. The offense is going to scuffle simply because of the opponents we face, and folks here will be Chicken Littling all over the place. Later on, the offense will look much better and everyone will be marveling at how much they improved, when it will mostly be about the quality of defenses they face.

Here's the thing with Philly. The giants were kicking our *** on defense before the blocked kicked. If that's hurts and the Philly offense they score on that opening possession and then who knows what happens.

Until proven otherwise, I still think the Eagles and 9ers are the top 2 teams in the conference. Dallas would be the third ranked team. The gap is not very wide among these teams.

We will see how it plays out.

Dallas defense is a bit better than San Fran but they have a considerably better offense so they get the nod over us imo, at least for now

First offensive game this Dallas team has played with their starters - minus Tyler Smith - through all of the off season. Joe Burrows looked terrible yesterday, and as I have been told he is greatness. He also sat out the entire off season while getting a raise.

Each season, during each game something is revealed about the team. Dallas looked great last night. They have a tough game coming up. Spit the bit and all this glee this board is experiencing will change to what they see on the Giants board. Even if it is a last minute field goal to lose.

I am looking for Dallas to build on this new Gulf Coast Offense© and to find balance with the defense and special teams. And to stay healthy.

But I will say, the Eagles didn't look like world beaters against the Patriots. Not too much can be gleaned off the first game of the year, but that result against what I think is a team (Patriots) not much better than the Giants, makes me think this year could be special for Dallas.

I am looking forward to Purdy standing in the pocket with the front four of Dallas bending him over all game and see what they truly have.

We demolished a playoff team that was reportedly improved.

San Fran beat the Stealers and Philly beat the Pats. I’ll take the Giants over either of those teams.

If he kill the Jets confidence will grow.

I think it comes down to if the Cowboys offense is still mediocre or if the Cowboys defense is one of the best since the Seahawks of 2013. Who knows how it ends up.
I wouldn’t be getting too carried away after just one game. We have a long way to go to figure out exactly how good this defense is. The Giants started the game last night by gashing us on the ground, until we tightened up. I’m not going to anoint the defense until we get to at least November/Dec. I want to see if we can maintain a steady level of play and not drop off. I want to see if Parsons can play a full season without wearing down.

Disagree.

We are much, MUCH better than the Eagles. Their defense is in shambles and the offense isn't quite as good as it was last year with some of the loses they had in FA.
Lol, it was one week dude. Week 1, both games in bad weather…. Let’s give it a couple weeks before we crown ourselves.

Who cares. Why are our fans so infatuated with saying SF and Philly are better.

We all are 1-0

Play the games.
Not infatuated. You seem to think saying anything positive about another team means you are a secret fan of the other team… some of us, like to be honest with ourselves… It’s all good, you fan your way I’ll fan my way
