If all first round picks were Dak they would have solid careers and make lots of money. The Jaguars wish Lawrence could have had Dak’s career start same for the Jets with Darnold. I get it some you all hate Dak for some odd reason but the guy has been a solid 10 year pro.
Like I said, take it how you want. I just gave the comp. Didn't say whether it's a good or bad thing. If they surround Sanders with an elite d.........

Very good except in the most important games
Dak = Ginger
They will make you relevant and that is all
The coaches have not helped either. It is not just Dak. The Cowboys have not done anything since Dak was a toddler.

With an Oline that was so bad last year he was constantly getting sacked and broke his back. The online improved this year but still not great.

And that teams refusal to run the ball let other teams defenses pin their ears back and attack and yet he still makes plays

I watched a lot of Colorado football this year - they got a lot of air time on the west coast - and I don't really like Shedeur. The accuracy is good, and he is definitely a gamer. But he projects as a bus driver, and if you are bus driving, you can't make the kind of mistakes he does.

I don't know anything for sure about Shedeur off the field, so I will give him the benefit of the doubt there.

Anyway, if he is QB1, he's a pretty uninspiring one. I like Ward a lot better, but he's also not all that. Ward would literally be QB5 or QB6 in last year's draft.

I’d love it…he’s going to be a bus driver.

He holds the ball too long so Parsons will own him.
If the Giants were smart they would trade down and sign a quarterback in free agency. Dak would have cleaned up if he made it to free agency by the way.

Best case scenario for Dallas…awful
QB class and Giants targeting the top QB.

If the Giants draft him, it won't be a wasted pick.

Generally, on your first pick in the draft, you try and get a guy who in your opinion is the best in his position that can help your team.

In your opinion, out of all the QB's that are available in the next draft, how does Sanders rate vs all the other QB's out there?

Don't get me wrong, Sanders has some great numbers per passing yards and TD's, but he's playing for his father who no doubt is trying to showcase his strengths IMO. What I saw of the BYU game the other night, I don't see the hype on Sanders.

Wouldn't any good coach try to showcase a player's strength?

Him and his Dad got into a couple of petty Twitter/X spats with players that left Colorado via the Portal. Deion and Shedeur had no business engaging with the kid just because he said he felt disrespected at Colorado or whatever.

Yeah, I get that Deion and Shedeur may have needed to defend themselves so that no other players in the Portal would be turned off of Colorado by this kids experience...but its petty coming from a HC and Starting QB who live great lives, presumably.

Shedeur threw his OLine under the bus after the season last year by saying something along the lines of "you cant make plays if you dont have time".

So...Shedeur isnt squeeky clean...but nothing too bad.

I have been asking this board their opinion of Shedeur because he seems like paradox for me. He produces with low turnovers like Dak. But...he takes the dumbest of dumb 10-15 yard sacks for losses. Its perplexing since he seems to get a lot of other things. He is also awful at feeling the pocket and escaping. Funny that Deion's sons arent fast or super athletic. Trying to escape the pocket when youre slow is bad decision making when youre frequently taking 15 yard spills.

So...since Shedeur has produced at a high level with a terrible OLine and few turnovers, seems to be cool and calm and not easily rattled...I am going to to go out on a limb and say that the 10-15 yard losses that Shedeur is taking at Colorado is something that he will not do in the NFL. I believe he knows those bad sacks and bad plays....he is just trying to will his mediocre team by trying to make a play. Going further...I think Deion knows a lot of people in the business that are giving him and his kid QB advice about the NFL.

Shedeur probably doesnt work out if he is trying to scramble in the NFL. Dude is too slow.

I would ask if the coach is showcasing his players strength to help the team or just to help the player? However, I know nothing about Colorado football for the last 30 years, so perhaps if your running game sucks, you air it out (I had to look, the team averaged 65 yards per game this entire year, ranked 272nd),

Perhaps there is no difference, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand that when you bring in a new high profile former NFL player as your head coach who brings his son with him to play QB that there may be some nepotism involved.

However, one can not argue that the Sanders father and son duo in college have definitely made a name for themselves. That does raise the question though of how Sanders the QB will thrive without his father along for the ride.

Yea I read some league insiders are saying no QB in this draft would grade above any of the 5-6 taken in 1st round of 2024 draft. As for Sanders....watching him play, he reminds of Jamise Winston a bit ( not the turnover issues ) looking for the big-play with every dropback. His draft watch will interesting coz there is only like 5-6 truly QB-needed teams by my count ( Raiders, Jets, Saints, Giants Titans and maybe Steelers). One of these teams will probably pluck a QB from the Vikes ( JJ McCarthy or Darnold ) and Russell Wlison will in play for one. My point is I can see Sanders going top 5 or dropping out of top 10.

+1 ......to be honest, he's a better player than what we saw against BYU.
