Look at how mn

You act as if Ramsey has been a bad pick. If we go careers, I know I wouldn't say it's really Zeke's fault, but I would take Ramsey's at this point, it's also very early. Both have been dynamic. Look at the non first rounder running backs, at that is a very logical reasoning on why not like taking a rb that early. It is the easiest position to transition to the NFL. I wouldn't be shocked if it is the most at a position relative to the field at non first rounders, not counting special teamers.
What the hell? All i did was point out to a newer member that another member was against taking Zeke a couple years ago and his reasoning for thinking its dumb for the Giants to take Barkley 2nd overall. Have this rant built up in you for awhile their bud?

No not at all, just saw a post thought I would respond to it and give my perspective. Giants would be dumb for taking Barkley at 2, especially this draft it WONT happen. There is to much value. Multiple ones and likely more picks has to be worth more than an elite prospect at one of the easiest positions to draft and not to mention this is a very deep rb class.

Fwiw I hope they draft Barkley instead of getting a kings ransom for their pick. I know the Giants were terrible last year, but they really aren't that far behind the Cowboys in talent. We used the excuse of missing the playoffs not having our best player, the Giants didn't have their's either and had more injuries. A good draft and it will be the typical East battle, and because of their positioning, they can get a stockpile of picks.

When it's all said and done, I think a QB is going #1 overall. Barkley's not getting out of the top 5 though.

The smartest move that Cleveland could make is find a way to get Barkley and Baker Mayfield. The two of them would win 8 games by themselves for Cleveland. They would instantly be relevant. Then if they found a way to get Hennandez at the top of the second they would really be on to a very good draft.

I honestly believe what is smartest in a qb rich draft is to trade down for value if they are gonna ride out Eli and it's what I expect them to do. Cleveland has to go qb, it's pretty safe Barkley will be there at 4 if they want.
I doubt it. Barkley will go in the first three picks.
Here's what I think happens:

1. Cleveland picks Barkley No. 1 overall and doubles up on a quarterback at four while Indy drops back to let the Jets or Broncos get who's left of Darnold, Rosen or Allen or ...

2. Cleveland trades with Indy because the Colts ABSOLUTELY need Barkley if Andrew Luck is to have any career left (he can't continue to shoulder the load, pun intended). This move possibly thwarts the Giants if they want Barkley and gives Cleveland even more picks and back-to-back picks to take the quarterback the Giants don't take and to take Chubb (the DE) or Minkh Fitzpatrick.

Only if you have multiple QBs you feel equally good about. Otherwise you take your QB. You don't get cute like the Cowboys did in 2016 and let someone else have your elite franchise QB. Prioritize the QB position.

Zeke is great. He's not worth Wentz. Barkley could be great. He's not worth another franchise QB. If the Giants have their QB available at 2 they would be monumental idiots not to take him. If they don't have that guy there per their board, then it's Barkley or Nelson. I think they'll take Barkley. He will energize their fan base and the thought of Beckham and Barkley in the same offense is scary.

I agree. How many chances do you get to nab a franchise quarterback, who generally are at the top of the draft?
As temptingly talented as Barkley is, if the Giants believe any of the four top prospects are franchise quarterbacks, you take one and don't look back.
Besides, the Giants are in the perfect position. They don't have to play the rookie with Eli still onboard. Sit Rosen/Darnold/Allen/Mayfield for one or two years and have him ready to go when the team moves in from Eli.

I am struggling to think of a RB in the league I'd take that high, imho. Now I may be biased because of the way we use Zeke...barely ever use his passing game skills...but otherwise if there is a stud lineman or qb you believe in, I'm going that way, generally speaking.

it really is a tough decision for the Giants, they most likely get a very good player but they could also be choosing between all-pro level players
if they took Barkley it might be a guy like Nelson that ends up being a top 3 guard year after year or maybe Minkah has Earl Thomas level of impact
then theres Chubb or the chance that 1 of these qb end up being great

not often you pick at #2
if Eli keeps circling the drain this year it might cost them 2 first rounders to move up for that qb next time

decisions desicions

It's not a tough decision in a super deep running back draft, get a king's ransom or one very good player??

Could be, could not, imagine where he goes matters. That's a tall task, but is definitely possible.
