Pick the one guy out there that is vehemently against the Cowboys, obnoxious beyond comprehension, and then post him every chance we get....on a Cowboy forum.
Thus giving his voice support by default

Paul Newman played a character on stage and in films.

Deion Sanders played a character on the field, in interviews and now on a TV broadcast about the NFL.

Randy Galloway played a good ole boy character in his articles and radio shows in Dallas.

Dale Hansen plays a Holier-Than-Thou sports reporter who acts like he is the ethical standard bearer for the NFL and sports in general.

Creating a niche and exploiting it for notoriety goes far back before these people were born.

Stephen A Smith plays a character on a TV show which discusses the NFL. His role is to be Anti-America's Team. If there was a team more popular than the Dallas Cowboys, Smith would be using them as a vehicle for his rants and popularity. Because with all the people who love the Cowboys, there will always be just as many who despise them. And that spite is a demographic which will tune in and watch the show and subsequent commercials.

Without conflict, a "press" who does nothing but praise the Cowboys would get boring.. And while there are a great number here who state they don't watch ESPN, or Smith, or read Worder they still do. By the droves.

good points, but makes you wonder why people bother tuning in to watch a "character" speak

Hate him all you want. Most of the time he's on top of the real internal organizational issues of the DC. Issue that most the local Dallas media refuse to mention.
Jerry provides is $$ and that is his only value to make this team a winner. Since the cap, his $$ does not help (as much) as it did 20 years ago and Jerry refuses to accept this. Could he bring more value now? Of course, but due to his ego, he's actually holding back this franchise to mediocrity by making football decisions he's not qualified to make. Someone has to say it. Many have said it on this forum. Why not SAS?

Name one area of life we see on TV, in the movies, or hear on the radio that doesn't use this platform.

I'm guaranteeing Beyonce has stains in her panties. Obama has skid marks. Rhianana picks her nose. Bruce Springstein cheated on his wife. with his back-up singer. Elvis, Michael J. and Prince, along with Hendrix, Joplin and a long long list had serious drug problems that ended in death.

They are not who we think they are.

Our society - the American society - spends its time looking for entertainment. Sing your song, do your dance, act out your character, the masses scream. (To be sure i am as immersed as everyone else.)

"Did you see that movie?" "Hey, did you hear that new song?" "Wow, that political speech last night was brilliant."

Even to the point there is a contest during the Super Bowl, for the best commercial.

Makes you wonder as much as this country has to offer, are we as a society so unhappy we have to have a diversion? I know I wonder that about me.

sorry, I meant strictly in relation to football... and probably just personally, as the sum of football shows or televised opinions that I invest time in amounts to zero

I listen to 1310 The Ticket while at work, I post on here, and I watch the games (only Cowboys games, at that)

Stephen A, Mel Kiper, Chris Berman, etc etc, aren't going to change my opinion about anything, and I'm not interested in anything they have to say

(although I've got nothing but time for ex-Cowboys in the media)

If any of you watch it -- it's the first ten or so minutes of Zordon's clip -- Max Kellerman makes some excellent counterpoints to Stephen A's bombast. Many of Kellerman's counter points are 10-12 page threads here on our very own fan site. Kellerman is less sensational than Smith, more self aware. Check it out.

I watched this and really they dont say anything we dont already know.
They talked about should garropolo and should he play hurt thur nite, and that was interesting.
but the cowboy stuff is just rehash everybody knows stuff.
Neither of them said what they would do if they had to make the decision keep dak playing or bring romo back or when etc.
They just talked around that.

Kellerman also highlighted how Jerry's grip on the team cripples us, and how that contrasts to how other successful teams go about doing their business. It should appeal to a great deal of our members. We need more prominent talking heads pointing out how neutered our HC is.

Or maybe we don't, but his points (Kellerman) were articulate and relevant.

Somebody needs to tell SAS, the buffoons are the people asking JJ about a QB controversy or any questions about Dak being the permanent starter after 2 GAMES.

Has Belichick been asked these questions?

Undying loyalty to Romo who hasn't played a full season since 2012.

Misleading. He missed 2 games in 2013-14

Tony has only won 2 playoff games?

Are the Chargers getting rid of Phillip Rivers any time soon? Because it's been a long time since he had playoff success, and Im sure they're loyal to Rivers.

Sorry Zordon, I could only stomach this until about the 2:40 mark. Which was too long!

Hope them ratings continue to drop!
