I'd have gone for that all day. The chance to put extra pressure on them with a TD would have been worth it. If you get stopped a few yards from the goal line afterwards then okay kick the FG.

I think it feels better because as it sits right now we look like a team that got caught sleeping and squandered a golden ticket. IF they are coming out hear knocking out the #1 and the #2 seeded team with minimal resistance, then they got a good formula and it was just their year.

I hear what you’re saying, but I’d rather think we have the team that can win it all and just choked. If that’s the case, we don’t have as much to fix to win next season. But I think we just aren’t worth a damn in the front seven and will be just as bad defending the run next year unless there’s a major rebuild at DT and LB. Haha

Two obvious observations.

One, Love just has such an effortless, beautiful throwing motion.

Two, the 49ers are so tough on D because they have two destroyers playing LB. They put our LBs to shame.

Warner and Greenlaw is the best LB duo in the NFC by far. Heck, maybe even in the NFL, side by side with Roquan/Queen on the Ravens.
