Well that's the thing Big Dog, a large percentage of guys want a premium WR to take over Cooks spot, and Mingo isn't on the ppls radar that high...they see him more of a WR4 or WR5
CeeDee
WR2 (draft/FA)
Tolbert
Turpin
Mingo????
Again, I'm going off the mood on the board. You're the only one I've seen project Mingo at WR2.
It took many of our third and 4th receivers to develop over the years, I mean miles Austin didn't even have a single catch I don't believe his first two years ,he had back-to-back like 1300 yard years eventually he came into his own, he found something, if it wasn't for his hamstrings he would have been pretty good ,but you worry about this game that's now to determine anything for next year cropper versus Mingo is a ridiculous argument for this game we'll worry about the offseason in next year's team next year...
And yes I agree it would be very nice to draft a wide receiver that can possibly be a better younger faster option for number 2 but has nothing to do with cropper versus Mingo.... I don't believe Brandon cooks will stay here he might retire I mean but what if he does stay and he's cheap and he's #3 and tolbert's number four and terpenes worked in there again how does it have anything to do with cropper or Mingo next year these guys are just some dudes that may eventually be Noah brown, they might end up being Cedric Wilson or Laurent Robinson, or they may just be nothing.
they may just fade out that's just the nature of the NFL the churning of the number 4-5 and six is that wide receiver almost mean nothing unless you're developing somebody because the tight ends are gonna get targets the running backs are gonna get targets out of the backfield so really it's your top 2 wide receivers that are important plus you have to have a guy like Turpin that you can mix in there i don't think we need to worry that much about mingo or cropper..
I believe that's what we're trying to say here you're you're trying to talk about next year and we're talking about today and if a guy like cropper or brooks or any of these dudes are not showing up in training camp and practices they're not gonna get time on the field they don't need these garbage games in order to show out not show up.... These are things coaches see on a regular basis they know who they wanna see on the field and they make that choice but again I don't see where it matters way down that list...
