Scandrick Contract Restructured

So. It's what you're supposed to do.

How is purchasing a home for his growing family a poor decision?

Purchasing anything you can't afford is a poor decision. That money he's spending now isn't going to be coming in for too much longer.

I'm pretty sure that goes for everyone.

Definitely. But in cases like Scandrick, it's disappointing to see someone mismanaging their money. Especially knowing that he's going to go back to the Jerry Jones pay window to get more.

Jerry won't risk his HOF induction and the bad press he'll get by bringing Hardy back.
Jerry wants to stay clean this year.

You really think that's any kind of factor in the decision?

He's earned $20m in career earnings.
You mean to tell me that purchasing a modest $3million home in California is something he can't afford? Pssh..

This is what cracks me up. We have no idea how he manages his money, and from what I've read from beat reporters in the past, he's very responsible with money. Nothing about him suggest he's spending his money unwisely. Yet folks stay counting these guys money like its theirs. It's hilarious.

I think it's possible. Maybe these teams calling about their QBs and/or McFadden kicked off some more in depth trade talks.
Dont know if they want to trade for a QB. Not one really out there worth trading for.

Fish has been saying all TC that he thinks they will trade for a DE, but that was just a guesstimate

Michael Bennett seems disgruntled in Seattle....hmmm

If we wanted to pay him 1.5m, we could have just made a claim. That was his existing salary, wasn't it?

That's what I thought. And I thought we had him in for a workout today. I don't think we'd claim him without a workout.

That's what I meant. More in depth trade talks that could include other positions. Dallas has a few pieces they may be able to trade away and they certainly have needs.

What "cracks me up" is anybody trying to put the words "$3 million" and "modest" in the same sentence.

He's already spent 16 percent of his total contract value, a good portion of which he may never even see.

Not the first guy outspending his income, not the last.

A fool and his money...

I'll respectfully disagree. I think the decision was made well before any Jerry HOF talk.
I think it was too before the suspensions and the injuries took place before and during camp. Things have drastically changed with the depth and talent we have at Defensive End right now and we could use someone like Hardy.
But with Jerry's HOF vote coming up he's not gonna make any negative waves with the media.

It's also crazy when people don't understand that money upfront is always better than money later cause it accrues interest for you and not the team. Why does someone asking for money now have to mean he's broke? Lol
