Now can someone move Ware to the weak side? We need to activate Martez Wilson for this week.
And here I thought the axiom was "players play, coaches coach". I guess things are so bad around here that the players have to coach as well.
Your passive-aggressive comments don't really serve you well. And you either never played the game or you never understood to take it upon yourself to change the defense or your play at times. Perhaps this was not allowed on your team.
On defense players make adjustments all the time esp at LB and DB. It's necessary to play smart and have some flexibility. A good coach is not going to diminish that. How do you think the Mike is going to play without making a lot of decisions himself and a lot of them instantly? For some positions almost every play requires an in play adjustment.
This is not a big story from an anti-coach stance but Scandrick ought to get some kudos for not just making that decision but to do it well; especially the latter.
That's as a member.
As a mod, I remind you and others we do not allow persistent and consistent call out threads and posts.

How much do you want to bet no one gives a crap. Man you people whine about everything. Who cares what the coaching staff would have done. Scandrick made the decision and the play. Be happy with that and stop whining.Had OScan given up a TD to Garçon after the switch how much you want to bet the coaches would have thrown him under the bus for going rouge.
I have zero confidence in this entire coaching staff.

The players are winning while old Monte sleeps in his rocking chair way up high in the press box. After the game Kiffin woke up since his early 4th quarter nap and asked if we won.

Orlando Scandrick had seen enough of ill teammate Brandon Carr being overmatched by Washington Commanders receiver Pierre Garcon, who caught 11 passes for 144 yards and a touchdown. Scandrick took matters into his own hands during the fourth quarter.
“Honestly, I just took him,” Scandrick said. “We had to get a stop and I knew they were going to go to him.”
I have to chime in. It is a SHAME that politics, money and ego get in the way of WINNING. Carr was probably on Garcon because Carr makes the most money. And it is a shame that the coaches did not have the GUTS to make the switch. Clearly Carr is sick, lacking confidence etc.....so with our season on the line....the coaches were going to continue the company line as opposed to try to WIN!?!?!?
Carr took multiple IV's before the game to even get on the field. He wasn't going to miss a game against the Skins for the world.
Scandrick was just helping out a teammate. These guys are selfless. Can't help but like that.

I was pretty tough on Carr I didn't know if his health. I forgot he had a sickness during last week. I'll give him a pass for that.

Not nearly as big of fan as Carr that I once was. Calvin Johnson never did what he did to anyone else prior to playing us...and he has not done it since. Actually....it has almost NEVER been done in NFL history. So Carr did not compete that day...and that is what you can never measure when you evaluate someone...what is inside his chest cavity. I mean...take a 5 yard penalty....jump a route....dare the ref to call PI multiple times in one game...but don't lie down and say "do me"!I could be wrong but I think Carr was on Garcon because he shut him down the first go around and when healthy he's our best corner. Scandrick isn't getting some chump change.
For the record. Scandrick is #32.
I have no idea why the coaches didn't make the change. It was obvious before the game that Carr cannot cover those trailing crossing routes, and the pick plays beat him. We were getting eaten alive.
But players take it upon themselves to do these things from time to time. I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing. Irvin famously changed places with Harper on Harper's big catch and run v. SF, thinking the ball would go to him on that play (it obviously did not). And just this season we saw Tony move Dez into the slot from the split end. It happens, we just don't hear about it too much.
