It is the latter in general because Draya isn't Candice, Scandrick isn't Romo, and American society can be in denial or oblivious of hypocrisy. So has anyone in this thread criticized Romo's wife for having a $500k ring yet or is everyone still ganging up on Draya?
No, I think it's just as possible that one source made an educated guess and everyone else just ran with it.
She does like 10 episodes a season and it was actually cancelled at the end of last season. As far as your silly comment, I think it's silly to be so adamant that she does when in actuality you don't know any more than I do. It's a message board, and I gave an opinion, I may be wrong, but I just don't think she makes 300k a year
A football message board....
And y'all arguing over a players woman!?
SMH

Why must a separate thread be created? The thread is about Scandrick and Draya's engagement. The ring symbolizes their engagement. Even so, members are discussing negative perceptions conceived about the Scandrick's and Draya engagement. Why can't a similar engagement involving another team member be introduced into a discussion about this engagement? Perhaps members perceived Romo and Candice's engagement in a similar light. Perhaps they did not. The only way to find out is to ask. It's just my opinion but I doubt it is necessary to create multiple threads about a topic that's essentially the same.Or maybe because no one has created a separate thread on Candice's ring or maybe because Candice wasn't on "Basketball Wives" reality show, or maybe because Tony Romo didn't hold out asking for more money then the next we hear about him he's giving his fiancé a $400,000 ring?
Hypocrisy is such an overused word. We're ALL hypocrites, especially if you remove context. And, yet, all of us still manage to give our opinions, correct, rebuke, admonish being hypocrites. Fancy that.
I find it equally amusing that posters have to rain on other people's parade. It's the off season. It's a discussion forum. We discuss. And we discuss based on our values, our perspectives, our understanding and our backgrounds.
Why people can't understand that (not saying you don't) is beyond me.

Attempting to better understand why members feel negatively about this topic by introducing a similar topic within the conversation does not subtract or derail the current discussion.Because some of us like to stay on topic?

There are zero relevant differences between Romo and Candice's engagement and Scandrick and Draya's engagement. Romo and Scandrick earn incomes which permitted both men to purchase highly expensive jewelry for their fiancees.Well, maybe not to you.
But the situations between Romo's wife and Scandrick's fiancé are different. That's why you're getting the reaction you are. Each situation is different though they may seem similar. Sometimes, I think people forget this when they try to make simplistic comparisons.
Be that as it may, I've explained why my reaction is the way it is with regards to Scandrick. Nor do I think it's hypocritical that my reaction to Tony Romo's situation doesn't match my reaction to Scandrick's. But, again, the title of this thread is "Scandrick engaged."
I prefer to craft my discussion to the subject title.
If it takes anything over a $2000 ring from Zales to get a woman to say yes, you need to find another woman . A woman that would accept a ring that cost this much has little common sense and she doesn't value money. My wife would have sent me to a mental hospital if I bought her a ring that cost that much. She would think that I had lost my mind. It is easy to see how these players end up broke after their careers are over. When the money I'd gone, the woman is not far behind.

I stated there are zero relevant differences. You may wish to expound upon what you believe is relevant. As such, let's look at differences:Uh, yes, there ARE differences. And you'll notice I didn't limit it to merely the purchase price of the ring without any other variables. I also included other issues.
You are correct. You are not required to speak about anything being discussed within this thread or any other thread.Be that as it may, we're not obligated to discuss Romo's situation in this thread. You're well within your right to do so. But there's no rule that says we must.
To quote John Wayne in Big Jake:We're commenting on what we think about Scandrick's engagement as the title suggests.
Kinda of reminds me of my 13 year old daughter who brings me into clothing store. She goes over to some pair of jeans and replies to me: Dad these are $60. Which I reply: Who would buy $60 pair of jeans? She replies with a smile: They are on sale. I just walked out of the store.
