A former Dallas Cowboy scout Brian Broadus said as talented as Jenkins is there is people in our scouting department who think Scandrick could develop into the better player.

Thats not a knock on Jenkins at all because i've heard his coaches and teamates absolutely rave about him.

Burnett and Owens have straight up said Jenkins is a future pro bowler.

Also this brilliant guy named CATCH17 said out of all the Rookies in this draft class he is the most safe pick as well as the most prepared for the NFL.

This is all good news, because both Newman and Henry have durability issues. Henry hasn't looked all that good in pre-season, but then nobody has, but, Jones, Jenkins, and Scandrick will make a heckuva defensive backfield.

I wasn't really that impressed. He mostly got "under" his pads in that soft area ... because the receiver was trying to reach for the ball. Had the ball been a little more to the left of the receiver, it wouldn't have looked 1/2 as bad... because it really wasn't.

Having given and received a few of these kind of shots in my HS days, Martinez probably had the wind knocked out of him. He might have even had a rib cracked. That being said, I loved catching a guy on that angle because hitting them that high or even a little higher under the shoulder pads would send 'em airborne.

More important than the hit was the read that Orlando made. He knew he had help behind him and had responsibility for the guy going out wide, and he reacted instantly to arrive right on time.
