Scandrick released

He might be better at this point than anyone we have for a fifth corner (Ward, Olumba, Thomas), but he doesn't play special teams so he's no longer a fit here.

I think attitude also factored into why he's no longer here, and why I don't expect him back.

That's fair. He became entitled and puffed up when Dallas reduced his role. He's always had attitude, but like with Dez, it turns into an obstacle when he doesn't get his way instead of being turned into energy.

Agreed. And like with Dez, teams will put up with it if you're producing at a high level. But the minute you're not? Bye!

Scandrick had 1 really good year and a lot of average years until last year which was below average. I was so glad for him to be gone.

This. Scandrick played above his draft position early in his career and lived off that for the rest of his career even though he was only average at best. It also helped him that the team did a horrible job drafting and signing free agent cbs during his time in Dallas.

A pretty strong indictment. Not a "Nolan Carroll" level blunder, but it still says a lot that the Commanders already wanted to be rid of him.

Yeah. Timing is kind of interesting. Either he was waaaay worse than they thought, not even worthy of camp body status, or Washington is being classy and letting him go so he might have time to catch on with another team. I'm not sure Washington and classy belong in the same sentence though.
