Scandrick released

OS was a solid player for us. No complaints about his career. Probably could have been more had he not been so injury prone.

He could have been a solid player.
Problem is he gave less effort than any Cowboy that's ever put the Star on his head.

OS was a good Cowboy who gave us a lot of quality play at value cap dollars and draft expense but he suffered some nasty injuries last year and was always a limited athlete.
I also hate when pro athletes that play elsewhere live in LA. They seem to decline fast. See Miles Austin, Terrell Owens who started that theory for me.
Wish him the best but Dallas moved on at the proper time.

Agree and I would add that after watching the HBO series my perspective of him changed dramatically. He's a bright, insightful kid who had great leadership skills. Although I get it's part of fandom (especially younger ones) to call him a washed up bum after his athletic skills declined but I wish him the best of luck. He'll be okay in his whatever he chooses to do in life.

Luckily my g/f doesn't hold my poverty against me when she goes shoppin with my credit cards.
She's very obliging.
Lol. Credit is a beautiful thing. Except at the end of the month they actually expect you to give them money.

Luckily glimmerman has decided to take care of all my outstanding debt. Going to make it a lot easier for me to pay for things while I finish my bachelor's.

I live in the DC area now and I met him. I was surprised at his behavior. He was rude and almost got in a fight with a security guard. It caused me to lose respect for him. I tried to talk to him and told him I was a Cowboys fan. He was again an a@#. So after my encounter I don't feel sorry for him.

100% had a similar experience.

I remember a few years back, Jim Rome interviewed him. OS was a complete *** to him.

When you’re at the top of your game, you can get away with it. When your play diminishes ... yeah, no thanks.

To be fair, he was probably our defensive MVP in 2014, then tore his ACL and MCL in the next training camp and was never the same. We have the habit of overlooking the role that a major injury has in a player's fall-off. It took Scandrick several years to become a starting corner, then it lasted briefly, possibly primarily because of the injury.

People forget he played like a #1 CB back then before getting hurt. I think its a combination of injuries and attitude but I feel way better about Lewis and Brown in that position than hoping Scandrick can get through a season without injuries.

Also the Commanders paid 2 Million in cap space for one preseason game, has any Cowboy signed there without stealing money from Daniel Snyder? I can't think of one off the top of my head.

Dang! Well, maybe he will sign with Philly or NYG.

Wouldn't surprise me to see Morris Claiborne get cut soon. Add Brandon Carr to the may-soon-be-cut list.

Very rarely do ex-Cowboys signed as free agents work out for other teams.

Isn’t Newman still playing? He has to be like 50 now. Lol

Loved him early in his career. Was nasty, tough, never backed down and a fighter.

The more injured he got, the bigger his mouth seemed to become.

No ill will towards him. However, a lot of this was brought upon himself for the negative light he shown upon himself.

I can't say as I'm aware of his mouth being such a negative factor in the latter stages of his career. I seldom pay much attention to such things.

Perhaps some players get bitter when they feel their career taking a downward turn. It's a human reaction that's not unusual for many of them.
