Scary how good this offense would be

If Ogletree was starting and not Roy...we would be a completely different team.

I'm not saying Romo hasn't had some ugly passes...esp. today when he was playing with a bad back/hip contusion.

But Roy gives us NOTHING. He hurts this team badly.

Ogletree on the other hand is quick, explosive, runs clean routes and catches the ball.

We wouldn't even be talking about Garrett this or Garrett that if Ogletree was starting. And ultimately it's JERRY that is making that decision. You know.

The Roy defense team is running dangerously low on evidence backing up their claims.

I had some hope for him after the last few weeks; but he didn't do himself, or our team, any favors today with that performance.

....'bout sick of that smirk too.
well go up to him and knock it off his face, get back to us on how that works out.

Or he needs to play like a number 1 receiver and make the catches that hit him in the hands, even if they are tough.

This! I get so sick of hearing the Williams apologists blame Romo every time a pass isn't perfect for Williams and he drops it even though it hits him in the hands. Not every single pass is going to be perfect and hit you between the numbers and in stride. But If it hits you in the hands a true #1 WR needs to make that catch.

Yes because we can only complain when we're willing to go track down the player we're complaining about and attempt to smack him. Yes. That makes perfect sense.

Why don't you just put me on ignore since you can't seem to offer a mature response to to any of my posts.

I'm not a Roy hater. I just don't think he's very good.

If you can't handle that, then do me a favor and spare me the virtual bravado you seem intent on showing me.

He's still butt sore because I called him out on saying something stupid in the game thread.

It seems Garrett's mom is willing to come on cowboyszone and defend him and blame the players instead of her son.

Not to defend Roy, but none of our receivers had a really good day, besides Bennett. Romo was off all the way around to day.

But in case some of you missed it, THE COWBOYS WON TODAY! Sorry to ruin your day, but winning 7-6 against a bad team still counts as a win.

Sadly, most teams will start a struggling player over a better option in order to justify the draft picks or money they spent on that strugling player. I've always disagreed with this. Money spent is money spent. Have the common sense to put the best team on the field. If that means sitting a player or decreasing his reps so that the more productive player gets more time, so be it.

I would definitely like to experiment with Ogletree getting more reps over RW.

This was the #1 pass defense in the NFL on a day when Romo was very inaccurate.

Why jump on Roy, who at least gave us some possible plays early in the game, and not question why Miles Austin was invisible except for one broken play...he hasn't done anything but catch 1 ball per game since his two game feast? Why not jump on Crayton who couldn't get open against Smoot and their safeties in the middle?

If Romo finds the guys on time and throws an accurate ball, the offense will start clicking better.

Good points....and I'm not happy with them, either.....

...but this is our "#1 wide receiver". He's going to be held to higher standards than the others. Being a Cowboys fan should make everyone very accustomed to this sort of treatment.

What the heck is a "possible play"? :lmao2:

Roy didn't catch a ball today. But hey, maybe he leads the league in "possible plays."

Babe Lauffenberg has been arguing for Ogletree to get bigtime reps.

Where do you think Babe gets this opinion? From insider players and coaches for sure because that's who Babe talks to.

The curse of Jerry/T.O. has become the curse of Jerry/Roy. He gives problematic receivers big money and then he gets entrenched in his stupidity.

Roy Williams isn't the problem... Romo hasn't been delivering the ball properly, too high and way behind the receivers!

I'm not giving up on the guy yet. He's playing with zero confidence right now.

IF he can have a few good games and get going, I think he can make some plays for us down the stretch.

The guy is talented.

Ogletree has 12 foot arms. And shoots bolts of lightning out of his arse.

Is he a descendant of William Wallace?

Very true.

But Roy has to make those catches. That's a main part of his game.

But there's no doubt Romo needs to give him better opportunities to make plays at times. The thing that sucks is when Romo does give him opportunities, he hasnt made the play.

If and when they start to play well together, the offense will pick up again.

There was a long pass to Roy late in the third quarter that the Dallas radio guys said was PERFECTLY placed over William's shoulder.

Roy didn't even turn and look.

During the game threads there were actually some Roy defenders saying that Roy shouldn't have looked because he was covered. Did Michael Irvin ever do that once in his whole career?
